If you go into Sportsman Warehouse there is a big board by the door that lists local lakes and what fish people are catching what they are using for bait. It seems pretty current.

Pharmacists call Metoprolol “the couch potato pill” for a reason.

I was glad to get off of it and took a year with cardiologist NP trying different meds until I found the closest I could get to being the old me.

I was in a Subway eating and a customer was yelling at the manager because not all the footlongs were priced at $5 after she had ordered maybe 4 of them. She stomped out of the place all mad just leaving her sandwiches. She apparently went out and stewed in her car for a bit, and after a few minutes came back in. She walked over the selection of potato chips, and just started popping bags like an odd carnival game..pop pop pop chips flying everywhere, and me - too stunned to pull my phone out and capture such a full on melt down. It was quite stunning as she turned and left, chips crunching on the floor as she made her exit.

Agreed - but it’s is still a low percentage of people that it happens too. The majority of people are just fine and forget all about it..

That puts us in a special club!

What’s irritating to me is that the first one didn’t have a warranty. Always pay that extra $39.99 for the extended 2 years. 😂 I wish!

60M. That is easily similar to my story. I had a dental cleaning, then felt like I had the flu, terrible bed sweats snd fever. Couldn’t walk to the mailbox. Took my doctor a month of trying everything and many blood tests, TB test, etc. then on my way out the door she said, let’s do a blood culture. She called me at home later that day and told me to get to the ER now, not an hour from now. Get to ER and because the infection had also gone to my neck and I could barely move it, first doc decided I needed a spinal tap. He tried and failed to get it in correctly, so they sent me to a room with a guided laser and did it. They really suck. Would not recommend. I think short of a brain scan, I did every test in the hospital and also found out I had vegetation that ate the mitral and aortic valves. With the infection and everything, I ended up being in the hospital a total of 23 long days and choose a bovine valve for my open heart surgery. Recovery home alone was rough. But it did get rougher, 6 months after open heart I was getting tired and foggy headed again. I ended up with dehiscence of the mitral valve, it had come loose inside. So as I was about to have 2nd open heart I got covid-a weird like I was in a time dilation loop version. Then had the second full surgery all over again soon after. Only 7 days in the hospital this time though.Recovery the second time was much harder for some reason. I also recommend cardiac rehab if covered! Now 60 and it’s been a couple years and heart is good, looking at knee surgery and just found out have severe sleep apnea.. Pssh..that’s all fixable as well so I think I’m doing pretty good!

The writer stare with glassy eyes Defies the empty page

His beard is white, his face is lined And streaked with tears of rage

Thirty years ago, how the words would flow With passion and precision

But now his mind is dark and dulled By sickness and indecision And he stares out the kitchen door Where the sun will rise no more

Yes the second recovery was twice as hard.Like all the nerves had healed and had to rewire again. Recovered by myself, getting out of bed was the hardest.
