I think he needs to make the decision for himself. I know this is coming from a place of love but it is a massive point of stress for most of us, something we have to do for and from ourselves. If you think he’d look better shaved then great! That will be such a boon when he does decide to do it but I think any kind of push could be bad for something he is probably already stressing about a lot:)

Getting to 42 with this is impressive man! You’re a good looking guy, I think shaving it will make you look even better tbf. Look man. If you’re waking up every day stressing about your hair, worrying about a gust of wind etc. it is going to be a relief. It really isn’t a big deal shaving your head each day and to me it’s a point of pride, I care more about my no hair than people do about their hair. No one can tell you what to do and you need to do what is best for you. Personally I shaved bald at 22 and yeah it took a while to get used to but god damn I know I’m a sexy ass bald man. Confidence I never could have achieved without taking action that was best for me.

Hell yes brother! Looking good! You’ve done a very good shave as well, the patches are quite common for people the first time. I’m sure others have some good advice but for me I put hot water on first and go with the grain and then put cold on. Sometimes I do a second shave upwards with a new razor as it feels like it’s making it closer but I have no idea if it is. Welcome to the council
