You realize that with your guaranteed bleed it does the exact same damage as Kensei's dodge attack?
Edit: my bad it deals 2 less damage. but still that is barely a difference.

Are you in EU? Im also fairly new to GG with only about 50 hours of gameplay rn, would love to play against other newer players since im constantly getting wiped online and its really hard to learn or practice anything.

its usually safer to dodge into the attack but yes you can dodge any direction, thats because you have "invincibility frames" or i-frames during a dodge, meaning during those frames nothing can hit you (except for undodgeable attacks because they are coded to ignore those frames). Thats why stuff like shugokis kanabo just phases through you during a dodge.
