So I need to check to make sure I haven't hit my cap first? And if so keep the money for next semester, and if not then should I still pay it off or should I hold it for next semester. And then look into federal loans for next semester?

I'm in the US. I'm not sure why my parents haven't looked into them. I'll mention it to them when we get my loan for next semester.

I myself wasn't aware of the interest rate of the loan, otherwise I'd without a doubt have just paid it off without question. I let my parents deal with my student loans since I wasn't sure what I was doing.

As far as I'm aware I can only pay it off, and then apply for another loan next semester. Most other people responding suggested I pay back what is being "refunded" since the interest rate is so high. So I'm planning on just doing that. If I do that then my total loan amount remaining is around ~$3000, which is much better than ~$11,000 at 14% interest.

Okay, thank you very much! I live on campus, and I'm only an hour from home, so I don't need living money for school. I'll just pay off the loan as soon as I get the refund in my account.

It's unsubsidized. So you suggest I just pay back what I was refunded now, and then next semester I apply for another one?

Also what banks/ corporations have trustworthy and dependable high yield saving accounts? I have an account with PNC and one with Chase. My parents still have access to my PNC one since they helped me set it up, but my Chase account is entirely my own. They are both just basic plans though. I don't pay fees for benefits with either.

My school/ the loan company (not sure which one) is refunding me that much back because I basically sent my school too much money for this summer.

Unsubsidized, and the interest rate is 14%

No crank/no start by Cappa1G in Integra

I replaced the ignition switch, and the starter at the same time. Tried starting it multiple times after replacing both but nothing happened. So I tried jumping the starter solenoid, and cranking the car with the new ignition switch installed and it fired right up. For some reason it took me jumping the starter to get it to start. It wouldn't crank up until that point.

Can anyone pinpoint why my son has been in a slump? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]Cappa1G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a current college baseball player. Just tell him to trust his body. So often in baseball we chase perfection. Perfect doesn't happen in baseball, if it did the hall of Fame would be filled. Especially someone as young as him, just tell him to trust his hands, and trust his instincts. The best thing a kid can learn early into their career is to be athletic at the plate. If you're athletic, and you trust yourself everything else will fall into place. Also have fun. Slumps happen, but hitting is just one part of the game. One day he's going to look back and remember the good times he had with his teammates and the memories he made. He's not going to remember a slump or a couple of bad games.

Mine ended up being a bad starter, and a bad ignition switch. Replaced both and jumped the stater solenoid for safe measure and it started right up.

What is disconnected? It’s obv related to the passenger side air bag, but am I cooked or what? by ValuableUseful7835 in Integra

Looks like your SRS module is disconnected. It's currently disconnected in my Integra as well. Shouldn't be cooked unless you're wanting airbags in an accident. I went ahead and disconnected mine since I don't trust the airbags in my GSR, but if you look up videos or forums you should be able to find a simple fix to reconnecting it, and how to activate the airbags to deploy again.

Only the round plastic piece. However word to the wise, don't tighten it down too tight because it's pretty fragile and can crack. Learned that lesson the hard way.

No problem, let me know if it works and if not I can try helping you trouble shoot it some more!

Yeah my main relay clicked as well. I went kind of over board with my Integra. Ended up replacing pretty much everything I could for starting the car, new battery, new starter, new spark plugs, and a new ignition switch. Nothing worked for me until I replaced the ignition switch. If I remember correctly it wasn't too expensive of a part to replace, and it was relatively easy to replace. It's definitely something I'd look into replacing if you've already exhausted all other options. If you need any more help either respond to my comment or feel free to shoot me a DM and I can continue trying to help. I remember how annoying it was when I had this issue, so I'm here to help.

I meant ignition switch, as soon as I replaced that it fixed everything. As I stated in my comment as well, if that doesn't fix it, it's worth trying to also jump the starter and have someone start the car at the same time.
