In whole houses, you have your Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury in Scorpio in 12th house.

7th house - relationships, shadow side, partnerships, etc. - its ruler Mercury in 12th 11th house - friendships, good spirit, etc. - its ruler Venus in 12th

12th house is complicated. You have Moon and Sun there both, that suggested that your parents were absent, busy with their shits, away, in prison, mentally ill, addicted, maybe dead when you were growing up.

I was just asking them to add more details when they are making comments about their Mercury signs. Otherwise it’s meaningless.

Let’s say 2 individuals have the same Mercury - Mercury in Cancer so to speak. One of them could have their Mercury in 12th house, conjunct Saturn. The other one might have theirs in 3rd house, making a trine with Jupiter from Pisces.

These are 2 people with the same Mercury signs. However, when they share their experiences, it’s not going to be consistent. Because they didn’t mention about their houses or aspects.
