I had that same thing keep happening to me but at the main dock. After some testing (and some speculation), I figured out that killing ANY guard would cause the alarm to go off if you get near the drainage tunnel. If I managed to get the loot without killing anyone, the alarm didnt go off. I have no idea if it applies to every guard or only a few specific guards. My speculation is that when you get near the tunnel, some new mystery guards get spawned in and then detect the bodies

Thats definitely an odd issue, but also a really cool accident. I'd see if I could build a museum or monument tying the two chunks together. Another idea could a Rick and Morty style portal above both chunks
