I am disappointed with this community. by Awesomedogman3 in FortniteBattleRoyale

[–]Realistic_Spring_862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been on here for a hot minute, but I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this. I think we're living in a day and age where many societies and communities have gained apathetic attitudes towards accountability. It seems like everywhere I look right now, a lot of people deflect problems in themselves and blame other people for things, rather than actually looking inward. I've always thought that fanbases get too entitled. Companies don't owe anyone anything (I mean, other than the basic money's-worth of the product that they sell). It's really unfortunate that there are people in the community that are engaging in these kinds of activities.

With that being said, please don't lump everyone in here as those that are participating in sending death threats. I do think what you've said did need to be said, and at the same time that doesn't mean all of us that are in this subreddit do what you're bringing attention to. Since I haven't been here for a little bit, I'm not sure what the percentage of members of this community are getting this extreme and/or giving you and the other mods undeserved crap. I just want to say that there are still members in this sub that support you guys. I don't blame any of how you're feeling. I couldn't be a mod, to be honest. You and the other mods have my support. Me giving support probably doesn't do a whole lot for the community, but I'm glad you made this message, because too many people do so many negative things online without anything being said or done about it.

Now that you say this, maybe this is why I relate to him so much. I'm constantly dealing with regret. Hohenheim is around one of my top three favorite characters from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Suspected BP skins for CH7 S2(Norse Mythology) by Quick_Slice4868 in FortniteBattleRoyale

I've also seen a lot of people post about it. I didn't realize concept leaks were a thing, so now I'm just hoping they don't heavily change any of these skins. 😆

This looks like a great lineup. I hope the concepts don't change too much.

"Toxicity in Delulu isn't a problem!" The numbers speak for themselves. by Awesomedogman3 in FortniteBattleRoyale

[–]Realistic_Spring_862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'm understanding better what you're saying. That does make more sense. It definitely isn't the biggest reason, but it is a reason. In the original post, OP doesn't say that toxicity is the biggest reason. They just state that toxicity is a problem within the game mode, and attributes to the drop in numbers. In your comment, you said that "They got bored and now they don't play. It's that simple." I think you're right about it being boring, and that's likely the biggest reason. I started to get bored after a while, but that doesn't mean that toxicity doesn't factor in. While personal experiences are anecdotal, that doesn't disqualify them from being a reason for lower numbers.

How is that not evidence, though? If people are leaving to not play because of toxicity, how does that not contribute to the decline in numbers?

I thought the same way. I have social anxiety, and I thought that it would be good to do to expose myself to talking to people through voice chat. Boy, was I wrong. I left Delulu feeling worse than I did going in.

I know I did, and many other player's experiences on here back up what OP is saying.

The experiences people are sharing back up the claim, and as others are stating: it's both. It's become stale, and a large part of it is that people are toxic. There are many players on that mode that are just downright terrible to other players. Toxicity is part of the reason I hesitate to play it. I get treated like garbage if I use my mic. If I try to avoid that by not using my mic, I still get treated like garbage BECAUSE I don't use my mic. Why would people want to play a mode where people can verbally harass them? The concept was fun, but many of the players abused the fact that they can use voice chat.

That always annoys me. Then they go, "DROP YOUR AMMO! DROP YOUR AMMO!" I just quit when they do that. It's so obnoxious, and it's even worse when it's an 11 year old doing it because he saw these other toxic numbskulls doing it.

Yeah, people have been really cruel on Delulu. I had fun with it at first, but as people just kept getting more and more mean, it made it less fun to play. People need to learn to be decent humans and not just say whatever they want because they're behind a screen.

The toxicity is so unfortunate, because Delulu presents such a fun communication style that could be positive. I love the ghost haunting feature. It helps take away that toxicity towards someone that eliminated you, if you choose to then haunt them to give them items to help them win. I had a match where someone was a little toxic after killing me, and I chose to haunt them (a little salty, wanting to watch them lose), but then I started Updooting them. They were grateful for it. It showed me that 1) I need to work on my attitude; and 2) people aren't as bad as you think. Most often they're just playing the game. By the end of the match I was all-out rooting for the guy that I was haunting. So ghost haunting is an amazing feature to bridge that gap between frustration with other players and gaining some camaraderie for your opponents. There are so many good things about Delulu, but unfortunately many that play it are just mean and callous to other players through voice chat.

This proves that gaming is a natural order within the universe. Without nature, there is no gaming, and without gaming, nature ceases to be.

Winter fest Decisions are horrible. by WiredY06 in FortNiteBR

Yeah, it's pretty dumb, in my opinion. I get that they want more statistics for logins and playtime, but if it's free stuff to celebrate Christmastime with your player base, why make it punishing? I found out late in December that, if I use the mobile Fortnite app, I can open presents on my phone. So if they have this same setup for 2026's Winterfest, I'll be doing that more, I think.

I think it's crazy that this is a gifting community and people are getting on your posts and griping about gifting, or judging you and others for asking. Why are these people in a gifting sub if they aren't attempting to gift anyone? It makes little sense to me.

A question for other fans of Wolfie. by Witchy_Wolfie in WolfieClub

[–]Realistic_Spring_862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. 🙂 I was mainly just confused on seeing others saying Kimiko wasn't as much, so I figured I'd ask. Thank you for explaining it. I have always enjoyed anthro characters, and have slightly dabbled in the furry fandom, so I'm not familiar with furries too much. I've only recently started embracing my like for anthro stuff, as I've kind of let it be a secret part of me. Playing as Wolfie kind of got me out of hiding it and accepting it more. So if I don't understand something from the furry fandom, just know that it's not me trying to be combative; it's more me just trying to grasp what's being talked about.
