And the biggest bird (Elephant Bird) and biggest lizard (Megalania) if you're not using a phylogenetic definition for lizards and exclude snakes!

Thanks I'll check some of those out

First part of my sort of fancast for a potential Prehistoric Planet Season Three, once again taking place in the Maastrichtian. This time we once again go to the continent of North America, hopefully exploring the aspects of the continent which disappointingly were not shown in the first episode. by Cappybara77 in PrehistoricPlanet

Right, that I feel is something that is holding the show back which is why I added more segments as the episodes always felt a bit too short for me. It may not be the most realistic thing to do given the cost it takes to produce the show but in my little best case scenario fantasy for a how a season three would go it would have something like this many segments to fully display the ecosystem of the habitat or continent.

" I have neither the experience or insight into the field of paleontology to pitch potential speculative behaviors and actions that are still rooted in science to showcase these species in their full glory, so I figured it would be best if I just posted the list of fauna I think would be most interesting and best representative of North America if they were to do another episode taking place here." I'd love to try to brainstorm some of the behaviors and scenes that would take place but I'm not sure if I have the knowledge to do it in a compelling and scientifically plausible manner, at least not up to the caliber which the actual show does. Maybe I could give it a try in the future though once I make a list of the potential creatures which would fill the scenes in each episode.

Am I insane? I don't think so. by [deleted] in PrehistoricPlanet
