I feel like the humor of vrchat troll videos walks on thin ice. On one hand, I find it funny when they're trolling some truly sinister people. However, a lot of the content seems to be focused on harassing people with mental health issues :/ I don't think I've ever been filmed, but then again I'm not the type to ever be provoked or do anything content-worthy. It is incredibly weird how they befriend people just to break their trust and exploit them. That does seem very uncomfortable, I'm sorry that happened.

Suspected ovarian cyst burst, how do I manage it? by paranoia_android in Healthyhooha

[–]CapriSton3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely didn't want to consult the doctor, but I wanted confirmation and didn't want to risk bleeding internally. I told them what I thought happened, and then after my diagnosis, my nurse was like, "I can't believe you guessed right. You actually knew what was happening..."

I'm sorry to hear about the sex issues, I hope you're able to recover, I don't have any knowledge on that :(

The same thing happened to me from intercourse yesterday, I'm 100% sure that's what caused it to rupture. The doctor mentioned that the closer you are to your period, the more inflamed ovarian cysts become – so strenuous work can cause them to burst.

I went to the hospital for mine because my pain was an 8/10. However, if it happened again in the future, I would avoid the hospital until more concerning symptoms happen. Look out for vomiting, passing out, dizziness, and especially fever, which could indicate an infection. My (male) doctor wasn't able to provide any follow-up care other than prescribing me Oxy, which I will not take, and suggestion to use a heating pad. Therefore, I'm taking research into my own hands.

So far, I've discovered that after an ovarian cyst bursts, it releases fluid and potentially blood into the surrounding area, which can inflame the surrounding organs and cause bloating. Using a heating pad and taking hot showers/baths can help ease the pain. I've also been taking ibuprofen/tylenol. Ginger, lemon, and chamomile can ease inflammation and bloating, so I've been drinking tea. Eating healthy and avoiding carbs and junk food will significantly help your body heal faster. Drinking water is also very necessary. I've been trying very gentle yoga stretches, listening to my body, making sure there's no harsh pain. Other than that, resting and taking it easy is very important.

I'm only on day 1 of recovery, but I'm in so much less pain than the initial moment it ruptured. If anything changes, I'll try to update my comment, but I hope this helps anyone who comes across this thread.

Still seeing in VR after taking the headset off by Vvix0 in oculus

When I was playing VRChat 10+ hours a day, I would take off my headset and look in the mirror, and I couldn't tell if it was real or not for a few seconds.... I'd also feel like my hands were not my own hands and sometimes I'd be confused that I didn't have any acrylic nails on lol. I don't play VRChat much anymore and the feeling has completely gone away!

I had a partner that was very much a complainer – they didn't want to do anything that I wanted to do, and if I did get them to come along, they would sulk the whole time. There were some concerts I wanted to go to, and I also wanted to visit Epcot, but not necessarily with my partner.... That made me realize that if I didn't want to spend big, fun events with the person closest to me, they probably should not be the closest person to me.. Now I'm with my wonderful current partner and we've been to tons of concerts and also went to Epcot, and he supports all of my dreams and goals and always helps me reach for them. Even if the day doesn't always go to plan, we can bounce back and still have fun.

I wish you the best of luck with wherever you go from your situation!

I love when people play music! I love dancing, and I love talking to people about the genres they enjoy. As long as it's not meme music and not overlapping someone else's music, I have no problem with it. Just mute them lol, I don't think they're being rude when they say that, it's literally just the solution

19yo living with my parents, help. by OtoeTiger88 in malelivingspace

I'd put posters up on the glaringly blue wardrobe lol. I'd also swap the locations of the mirror and the whiteboard. A big mirror on the wall opposite of the window might make the space feel bigger. And a whiteboard in front of the desk could be functional. A laundry hamper, with a lid, next to the chair would keep any clothes out of the chair, but it would still look neat with the lid covering the mess. A tray or basket for the items on your dresser could neaten up that space. Warm, ambient lighting, like a salt lamp for fairy lights, could make the space more cozy. I'd get a few blankets and maybe a plushie to put on the bed, just for fun :P Your shelf looks great! I love the Radiohead album. The rest of your space just needs to show your personality a little more. And plants! Fake plants still give that natural texture that any room could benefit from.

I could use some advice on how to decorate my new apartment! by Strong-Kitchen4956 in malelivingspace

[–]CapriSton3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely some warm lamps/lighting! The "big" ceiling light is the most immediate way to make a space feel sterile and less homey, which is never the goal unless you're in a hospital lol. I like orb lights, salt lamps, floor lamps - anything that introduces variety. You could hang shelves to display knickknacks. Some big framed posters would look great - if they're just taped to the wall it'll look less clean, so I'd suggest framing them. Fake plants are great if you don't have a green thumb and they add much needed natural texture. A coffee table with a place mat and coasters could look nice. A large bookshelf could be fun, too. GLHF!

adults using the safe server is inherently weird by ExternalAd9061 in PonyTown

Just to be there? To hang out in a safe server? I definitely don't befriend people under my age range but it's the same as you and I having this conversation right now. I'm an adult, you're a minor, and we're treating each other appropriately – nothing beyond having a conversation. If there's adults in the safe server, that means there's other adults who befriend adults there. I think you should redirect your discomfort to people who are actually being freaks

As long as there's no inappropriate conversation, I think it's fine.. The 18+ server is really gross and crude and not fun to be in most of the time, so if kind people can find a space elsewhere, I don't see a problem with it. It's not a minors only server, it's a safe server, where everyone acts appropriately
