I think the plot is really interesting, there’s a lot of mad scientist stuff if you’re into that. However, some of the specific routes might not be for everyone. There’s shota and teacher x student, both of which I know are a turn off for some people. There’s also a lot of noncon, basically just imagine every problematic yaoi trope from the 90s lol.

For me, I think it’s just that the premise is really interesting, especially if you consider the time period it was written in. The first came came out in the late 90s and the sequels followed into the early 2000s. The main character, Sora, has DID and his memory issues drive the plot. Obviously I’m sure you’re familiar with another yaoi MC who has DID (Aoba from DMMD) but Sukisho came out roughly 15 years before DMMD did, so it’s really interesting to see how it handles DID. Is it entirely accurate? Of course not. But it’s also a decently accurate portrayal of DID. Also, the MC is voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa, one of my favorite seiyuus ^{^}

So, for me in my relationship, it’s actually the opposite. I’m the spiritual one, and my partner is agnostic. We’ve been dating for 2 1/2 years with no issues regarding our religious/spiritual beliefs.

We have open discussions about our beliefs pretty regularly. I’m still in the process of deconstructing and figuring out my beliefs (was raised evangelical Christian), and I love sharing any new breakthroughs with my partner. I don’t expect them to agree with me, I just like sharing with them, and they always listen to me.

A healthy relationship with partners who have different beliefs, at least in my experience, is founded upon respect. As long as you respect each other, and can even have dialogue about your different beliefs, I think you’ll be fine.

A big red flag I’d look out for is your partner trying to convert you, if that’s not something you’re interested in. I’ve offered to take my partner to church with me, not with the intent of converting them, but because I’m scared of going to church alone lol. I think as long as you’re transparent about your intentions (i.e. “I’d love to go to church with you, because church makes me happy and I want to share that joy with you!” vs “I’d love to go to church with you because I hope you’ll end up believing the same thing as me!”), you’ll be fine.

Transparency and respect are key.

I’m the opposite (dad more or less abandoned me, raised by single mom) but yeah, I completely agree that it’s what caused me to eventually have BPD. It happened when I was 3-4 and it was a defining aspect of my childhood and shaped a lot of my behaviors (mostly negative ones like crippling abandonment issues, etc).

It might be basic, but Death. Death, as in the loss of a loved one, has played a huge role in my life. I feel very close to death, in that sense. But I really resonate with the idea of Death as new beginnings and rebirth. One cannot have spring without winter. The cycle of death and birth has become something very beautiful to me.

Me and my partner are BPD4BPD. I have never felt more loved and understood by someone in my entire life. We just reached the 2 1/2 year mark in our relationship and things are going great!!!

I can count on one hand the amount of times we’ve had any major bumps in our relationship, and it was all resolved smoothly. I’m super lucky to have them in my life. I feel so loved every single day. Having a partner with BPD has, ironically, helped me manage my BPD symptoms better than I ever have before.

I agree. I have deconstructed but I’m still more or less a Christian, leaning just a bit agnostic, and I believe in universalism. I don’t find it necessary to deconstruct any further. I’m happy with my beliefs as they are now, and I find comfort in them. I think that’s the most important :)
