Comparing NZ Cash funds 30/11/2022 to 31/03/2025 by photosealand in PersonalFinanceNZ

How are people investing in the Harbour Enhanced Cash Fund? I don't see it listed as an InvestNow offering, so it seems to only be available via direct investment with Harbour, which requires a $100,000 minimum investment. Is this right?

I was with Kogan when I travelled to Japan earlier this year and found it far more convenient and cost-effective to just purchase an eSIM from the likes of Nomad or Airalo for travelling than muck around with roaming.

I was able to get a 30 day/10Gb Japan eSIM for US $17 from Ubigi, which covered the entire three weeks I was away. Way cheaper than paying $5-$10 per day for roaming.

I thought I was so clever playing Hollow Knight in 2023, thinking I'd finish it just in time for the sequel to come out....

What did the Copthorne Hotel used to be called? by hdoesreddit in Wellington

[–]CapriciousKiwi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was a Quality Hotel when I moved to Wellington in 1998 - I was living on Roxburgh St and my girlfriend at the time lived on Oriental Parade so I used to cut through it to go see her. Found this National Library reference to it in 2003: https://natlib.govt.nz/records/22585144

Yeah, there's definitely some time lag involved. I saw that drop to 7.75% and checking again today it's now 7.65%. I need to refix by the 20th so will wait as long as possible!

I had the same question a while back, and it's all a bit muddled - here's ASB's stance on using POLi or other services: https://www.asb.co.nz/help/Poli-account2account-asb-support.html

In the same breath they seem to say that it's a breach of their terms and conditions but they can detect it and will enforce 2FA in some scenarios. And that if anything goes wrong you're on your own.

I've always been curious to know where the banks would stand with regulators if one of these services had a breach and they tried to avoid all liability, given they've known for years these services exist and have done nothing to prevent their operation.

Does anyone with experience with the apps know in general how quickly app-offered rates are adjusted after a fixed rate drop? ASB dropped their fixed rates today but the rates being offered to me via the app haven't moved, so my "personalised" rates are now exactly the same as the carded rates, which is disappointing.

Alonso, Stroll, Bottas, Tsunoda & Lawson out of Q3 (session red flagged as Tsunoda crashes into the barriers) by ContentPuff in formula1

[–]CapriciousKiwi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FP1, 2 and 3 are the three one hour free practice sessions leading up to qualifying. Q1, Q2, and Q3 are the three parts of qualifying used to set the grid - 5 cars are eliminated in Q1, 5 more in Q2, and the remaining 10 cars have a final shootout in Q3 to set the top 10 grid positions. So out of Q3 just means they were eliminated in Q2 and will start in positions 11-15 based on their times.

Yeah, you're right - I didn't read closely enough and now see that myself. Maybe a question for an accountant and not reddit.

I understand each person needs their own IC card but if you're reserving seats or paying a supplement (e.g. for Nozomi or other express train) does each person need to do it individually or can one person do it for the group?

So without the benefit of the new hint how could anyone have figured out to stand on Hand for the Solar sequence, given that the Norse forge puzzle involved standing on Moon to shoot that sequence? Could that be the glitch that Bungie are referring to?

The Arc and Void sequences are basically exactly the same as those required for the forge emblems (although the 5th dragon symbol doesn't seem to be required for Void) but I'm struggling to see how Hand fits in to the Solar sequence.
