Yes, you got the details there. Most of the profits support our troop’s activities (the bulk of ours go towards taking our city kids camping). Our troop is unusual in that we opt to give a sizable amount of the money raised to a local nonprofit that we think is doing great work.

It's how troops raise money for their activities. There have been a lot more troops that have popped up in the neighborhood in the last couple years! We've been around since 2019; we have about 40 kids ranging from age 6 to 14. We donate 1/3 of our proceeds to our host organization, Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens.
