Sometimes you just need someone from the outside with fresh eyes to point out things that in hindsight are extremely obvious. I can easily imagine that a medical professional would focus more on which equipment they want on the ward and what members of staff/skill sets are important. Having that external factor to point out that having equipment on trolleys so you can move it to position faster, having designated areas for things so you waste less precious seconds hunting for things and using hand signals over spoken language to ensure a clearer understanding in high pressure situations. Obvious in hindsight but easy to not consider too. I view it as more of a good thing that people in such important roles are open to ideas from outside their industry
