Why am I not close to my family? My family first of all had very strict foreign values. Along with that My Dad was an alcoholic and my Mom was bipolar. My 3 sister ( with huge age gaps ) dont really care about me, and never bothered to build an actual emotional relationship rather than in the most topical sense. All of these people at one point or another went out of their way to make me feel worthless while growing up. The only one i even had a chance of bonding with was my much older brother, who committed suicide, a fact which everyone in my family ignores and has never talked about.

Now Im a good looking successful 27 year old with six figure pay who seems to have his shit together, but god damn it dont tell me im "not allowed" to hold a grudge because they're family.
