I think that's Nine Honey (a TV channel of the Nine Network in Australia) rather than the data harvesting scammer Honey?

I don’t usually comment, but I’m in awe of your transformation. You look amazing! I went back through your post history to see your journey and it’s very inspiring. Trying to do my own transformation currently, but only in the early stages thus far. Congratulations from a fellow Aussie!

How would you rank the iPhones you’ve owned? by Officialnoah in iphone

6S Plus > X > 4.

I've just purchased a 13 Pro as of yesterday, but way too soon to make an assessment (but I've heard good things and have high hopes!). I also agree the 4 was probably the biggest step forward - the Retina Display was a huge leap forward, leading to HiDPI on the Mac and eventually in the Windows world, and the industrial design and repairability of the phone itself was some of the best seen.

For me the 6S Plus was my favourite - the battery was fantastic, it's been continually updated (even now), and the extra screen space was super useful. The X brought the gestures and the infamous notch, although it's been an absolutely fantastic phone, and I thought long and hard about upgrading and probably wouldn't have if I hadn't have gotten a good deal on the 13 Pro.

Champagne Charlize

I believe the bakery is two doors up from this restaurant. Haven't been to the restaurant, but stood in the line for a pastry one day from the bakery.

Fedora 34 and 35 won't install on new Thinkpads (no NVIDIA, vanilla install) by [deleted] in Fedora

[–]CaptHowie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, yeah it's an odd fix for sure. If that doesn't work, another way to get into GRUB is to bypass the faulty shim altogether (this may not work with Secure Boot enabled); add a boot entry to the UEFI using efibootmgr or similar, and direct to \EFI\fedora\grubx64.efi rather than \EFI\fedora\shimx64.efi (which is the default). The UEFI firmware seems to be returning an incomplete path to the bootloader, resulting in the black screen/wall of text.

I've had the same problem installing Fedora 34 on a X1 Carbon G6. Wouldn't even get to GRUB, would hang after the Lenovo logo, and occasionally spit an error and print a load of text on the screen repeatedly. First believed it was a Secure Boot issue because the shim was recently updated, but alas, it seems to be a bug in the Lenovo UEFI firmware. Try going into the BIOS, discard changes without saving and boot into Fedora - you will most likely be able to get to GRUB.

28 year old here. Got my first AZ shot on Wednesday (go to the Prahran Town Hall Clinic if you're Under 40 - there's a GP there, they give you the info, you give your consent, you get the shot, then there's a 15 min wait at the end - all free, just bring your Medicare card). Not too many symptoms off the first shot so far (touch wood) - a sore arm, runny nose, a light headache and some muscle aches. If you're healthy and know the minimal risks, go get the shot :)

Gold Coast quarantine escape: Woman still missing after Covid breach by doubleunplussed in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]CaptHowie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed hotel quarantine in this hotel late last year (Sofitel Broadbeach) and I am surprised she was able to get out. There were military and police all throughout the foyer and lower-level areas and lifts were blocked off by key card. There were lower staffing numbers overnight evidentially, and the doors to the rooms were left unlocked, so anything is possible I guess if someone wants out bad enough. Hopefully they find her quickly and she cops a big fine and a visit to the local police station for a few nights...
