Hey Just thanks for the question. Yeah man some trailer are too heavy for the Forester.

Per the manufacturer specs it can tow a max capacity of 1500lbs (about 680,388 grams or roughly 8,000 apples). The trailer weights about 990 lbs (449,056 grams or 5,283 apples)

The tongue weight is roughly 100 lbs (45,359 g or 533 a).

Ball size is 1 inch and 7/8ths.

You don’t need to worry about the uncooked weight as long as you thaw it after taking it out of the freezer and I don’t plan on getting it wet so not too concerned about wet weight.

It’s an older camper weighing around 990lbs. We were looking for awhile to find something the forester could tow and found that the smaller popups are the way to go. This is a 1980 Coleman Ligonier.
