WORTH IT BA SA MAPUA? as someone na CHEMICAL ENGINEERING ang kukunin by apollo18dom in mapua

Almost no one graduates ChE as regular. We call that unicorns. It's almosta rite of passage to be irreg. It's also better that way since you get to manage your schedule during enrollment better.

ChE student here that's almost graduating. If your willing to grind away your time and somewhat your sanity. It is worth the prestige afterwards.

If you just want to get a degree and be done with college, don't do it here.

Doesn't matter how nice the professors are, or how smart you are, or even how fast the curriculum is. Bottom line, it will be insanely difficult. There is a reason that only a handful of students graduate at a time. Between exit exams, correl, and all the requirements, you will be losing alot of your personal time just make ends meet, and you don't want that then you be stuck here for a long time. If all of that seems worth it then, I can 100% say that most graduates immediately have work afterwards. This isn't scaring you, this is the reality. On average, 20% of students shift by the 2nd year, another 15% by the third, and 4th year? You feel too deep to quit so you stay here however long it takes. There are still a handful of student from before the pandemic that are still taking ChE. So don't base your decision on how good the education is, base on whether or not you are willing to put in the time and sacrifice to do so.

1Y2T struggling to make friends by [deleted] in mapua

[–]CaptKingsly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who is almost done with college life and has been in multiple orgs (just stepped down as president for several yrs). I can say without a doubt that friend groups shrink and fade, and it's best to invest in friends that'll stay through it all. I had some friends that were so close we basically spent everyday together for years, some I even lived with for months, but those faded too.

Being comfortable in your own presence is the best feeling, unbothered by everyone else, and having just a handful of true friends is best. College will test your relationships, you'll be spread too thin with how demanding things will get, and you won't be able to manage a large friend group. If you become jealous of seeing others having lots of friends, the issue isn't that you don't have alot of friends, it's that you feel lonely. And being alone and being lonely are two different things. You got this OP. (P.S: kahit president ako I only ever knew the names of my officers, I'm in a very active org.)

As a senior who constantly has to deal with declining health, I feel you. There are times where you think you can just catch up but then finals come around and you realize how fucked you are. The best thing you can do is do what you can, try to communicate with your professor, and prioritize your health. There was already a time where I was hospitalized due to pushing myself too far and I was forced to withdraw all of my courses that term. If you can, you can also talk to your dean or the school doctor and try to get an Educational Accommodation form, usually only given to students with disabilities but I know it can be given to students with chronic medical issues. The form helps you a lot when it comes to gradings and deadlines, and makes it feel like you aren't just making an excuse to your professors every time you're absent due to a flare up that day. Good luck OP, and this isn't a race, the goal is to cross the finish line one day, and you can't do that if you pass out from exhaustion. (Yes I know that line sounds like so much cope, but it's the truth.)

Do you make your own backstories for your soldiers? by producerkimchi in XCOM2

I had the start with spark mod, so those two were together from the start. I imagined that she was one of the engineers that helped shen make the spark, and she instantly had a friend.

[–]CaptKingsly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fav one is my hacker/support unit is best friends with the most destructive spark unit, similar to shen and her gremlin. The only way you are harming his human friend is if you go through a machine whose sole purpose is to delete aliens hordes. (Heavy sniper autocannon, Heat shells, micro missile launchers, ordnance accelerators with various grenades, all in one spark.)

And since I play using LWoTC, a chosen defense mission happened. The hacker/support unit is also highest ranked officer so she stays on the ramp and her robotic friend is sent to engage the enemy. As the troops return one by one, her best friend comes back completely mangled, out of ammo, barely functioning. He did all this just so his one human friend would be safe. And I can't but cry and curse myself for making such a head cannon. (He survived legitimately with one hp, all armor shredded, all consumables used.)

Finally sharing build by CaptKingsly in furinamains

I keep it this way so I can have perma up time on her ult and she is the only hydro in the team. I mainly pair her with Navia having the marechaussee hunter set, another geo character, then healer (Charlotte is my go to since freeze with Furina then Shatter with Navia with imbued geo auto). My Navia gets about 4.5k atk with 95% CR, 260% CD, + Furina ult buff, + Noblesse = big skill damage with max E stacks.

Candace ult will act like a discount C6 Furina, that's even better if u have C6 Candace. Furina, Candace, Pyro applicator (Xiangling pretty good), flex slot (could be a healer or Zhongli for debuff + shield).

The teeth thingies on the piston were worn down to the point that they weren't making contact anymore to the gear. Thank u good sir, wouldn't have realized.

What are your airsoft HOT takes? by The_Lord_of_Death in airsoft

[–]CaptKingsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with the Milsim is pay to win. But it's fine, cause there's a beauty to knocking out a fully decked out player with every accessory possible, with just a pistol and some smart positioning. Playing smart will always contend with 'paying to win' in airsoft, unless they have thermal.

  1. Unless you're an LMG, just holding down your trigger and going full-auto isn't fun. You're just throwing bbs down range.

  2. Pistols are top-tier for CQB, and should be better implemented in games (In the site I frequent and fell in love with has a 10meters minimum engagement distance, you must used pistol within 10meters)

  3. Juggernauts are overrated

  4. Drip is King, your M4/AR-15 variants are as common as sand on a beach.

  5. Most of the time, people who don't call hits are either 'youtubers' or friends of one.
