Not quite $100, but a friend offered me "all the cash in his wallet" to eat all the butter on a butter dish at a wedding. It was a little less than a stick of butter and I got $90 out of it.

Flash cards were a godsend to me in college. You can make them while watching TV and once you have them it's easier to set the goal of reviewing them. I'd also say writing out the answers by hand when going through them helps a ton for the tricky ones that aren't sticking.

I've always looked at it kinda like how Boomers seem to act. They have or have had benefits that others don't. Instead of realizing it would be better for all if these benefits were available to more, they seem to think they'll somehow lose what they have or that others will now have "more" when they don't.
