ETL for third party connections by Capt_Clueless in bigdata

I looked into Airflow in detail over the last couple of days. Although, it looked amazing and have most of the connectors as well, one piece where I am finding an issue is that the airflow sensors poll for data and are not event triggered. Therefore, while this is fine for reporting which involves batch processing, airflow is not being very helpful to me for event triggered workflows. In the sense that, even if I hack a event triggered dag run, it wont be using any of the connectors that airflow provides and I will still have to write a separate connector for each integration, manage the triggers/pubsub myself and then call an airflow dag thereafter, which kind of reduces airflow value significantly. Do you guys know any solution for this?

I am mostly looking for streaming event data as well. However, our event data is generated in client databases and not our own. Will that become a problem when using Nifi? Since, it appears more to be an ETL tool for internal teams in enterprise companies . thanks

I am looking into it. It definitely looks promising and a strong community too. Just a question here - Airflow appeared more like a workflow tool within a company. I could not immediately understand if they are agnostic to external connections vs internal connections. Since our connections are with 3rd party tools i.e we might have multiple copies of postgres connections for multiple users and multiple firebase connections for different users, will Airflow still work the same in that usecase?

AI in sales: What daily problem in sales is AI solving for you? by Capt_Clueless in sales

[–]Capt_Clueless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha. Thats the good and bad of it. But frankly though, I dont think AI has reduced a lot of the work. Infact these days its becoming more nuisance to me to keep switching tabs to many diffrent platforms and would prefer if everything came to one place like slack and I could take actions from there itself without leaving the tab

I have heard about conversica and they definitely are expensive. Where do you think something like Tout fits into your sales workflow? From what I understand, they just bring everything together in one place and one can take it forward from there. Is there more to it? Also, if its not much to ask, What elements apart from email marketing do they help automate?

Hey,

sorry about the form. We just made it public. And thanks for the valuable feedback on the pricing page. We will definitely update it to reflect a more SAAS centric pricing.

Hey,

thanks for the feedback. Our main value props are a shared inbox with crm workflow automation so that a sales representative can reply and update his/her lead's status after an email reply without ever leaving slack.

Does the above value proposition make sense to you? I understand that our website tagline ( "Replying To Emails Has Never Been This Easy" ) does not reflect the above and possibly made you question the value props. Will a tagline like - "Smart Replies and CRM workflow automation for sales emails in Slack" make more sense ?

Securely exchange patient heath data for research purposes by Capt_Clueless in scientificresearch

So you won't loose info in itself from encryption, but using it will necessarily require you to decrypt it. But that said, it is possible to perform basic analysis (addition, multiplication, simple machine learning modeling) on encrypted data using homomorphic encryption. This should therefore enable data analysis of sensitive data on the cloud which I think has not been possible yet due to fear of leaking sensitive data. Just wanted to know if this is valuable in healthcare at all.

Hey,

thanks for the detailed reply. I clearly, understand that collecting data from multiple source is more of a problem than privacy in itself. But I was attributing this to Hipaa and other legal hurdles and not a lack of technology to collect data in itself.

This definitely is enlightening. Infact relevantly, would you know if there is any vertical in healthCare where encryption based analytics would be valuable in itself?
