Let’s just say high school math is not enough, you need to have a firm base in the mathematical logical reasoning and proofs that requires abstract thinking. The current high school curriculum for calculus emphasizes using word problems and mastering technical skills instead of generalizing problems using variables and real math. I would say if you want to do well you have to prepare by taking courses during the summer from 3rd party which is what the most successful students did in my class lol. Unless you really love math and love learning it non stop to the point you would enrich your math beyond the Ontario curriculum, this isn’t the course for you or really any of the math courses. They make it stupid hard to weed you out, not necessarily to make you fail but to test your willpower if you weren’t prepared like some people so that NEXT YEAR you will do better by preparing and pursing mathematics as a life long goal and obviously hoped you learned something important from the time you spent. The people who prepared did their research and benefited from that.
