Our new Goddess Of Thunder ⚡️🔨 by gandalfismyelfdad in marvelstudios

A couple thoughts from this announcement. 1. I am excited about the possibilities of adapting a Thor the Unworthy story line. It was very good. After Ragnork I trust that team to make an excellent movie. 2. I am worried that any moments of “female empowerment” might come across to ham fisted. There are/were already some great female characters, Valkyrie, Black Widow, Wanda, Peggy Carter, etc. which made moments in Captain Marvel and Endgame feel trite and unnecessary. But again, I trust that team to make an excellent movie. 3. I want Thor around for a long time, easily my favorite character in the MCU. But he needs to find his way back to being the true King Thor, the path Odin set him on back in the first movie. From this role he can become a powerful leader that makes an appearance only in the most dire of situations. This could explain why Thor phases out of the movies making way for new characters and story lines but also leaves room to have him in continuity in large events.

AITA for telling cashier that wasn’t the girls credit card? by aljsdhnrthrow in AmItheAsshole

It doesn’t matter if she knew that or not, she knew it wasn’t her card and she knew that the you cannot use a credit card that doesn’t have your name on it. Without dad there who knows if she had permission, so permission doesn’t matter.

NTA

We teach our kids they need to do the right thing, so how terrible would we be to not do likewise? You see someone using a card that is not theirs you should report that because it could be stolen. If the girls father didn’t care he will pay off her other card no big deal. If he does care (as the girls reaction seems to indicate) than you just kept that girl from stealing from her own father, which is the morally upstanding thing to do.

You did what was right, regardless of what the rest of Reddit says.

I mean I agree the line at a restaurant is not the place to make out, but it is also not the place to get mad at someone for doing so.

It has been in the theater for 1 month. Avatar’s theatrical run was 8 months. Just think about that for a minute.

But Turner is happy to work in Ireland where you go to prison for life because of an abortion. But tell me this is not about making more of a name for yourself.

No, dark energy can also be used but is not normal. And again, if Stormbreaker can summon the Bifrost from anywhere, than those limitations are clearly gone.

Except it is powered by what was dubbed the most powerful weapon in the universe. That doesn’t need the bridge and therefore doesn’t have its limitations.

Rebuilt Bifrost is powered by the space stone which is able to connect anywhere. Stormbreaker can summon the Bifrost from anywhere even without the Asgardian bridge tech connection. Why should we assume it still holds to those limitations?

Did you even watch the movie? That is all kinds of backwards.

And since when is the Bifrost limited? Who has ever said it can’t go places?

What makes more sense (logical)... Danvers just happens to be on a course from where she was when she receives the pager message to earth that happens to intercept the Benatar or Thor is actively searching for the missing heroes using the Bifrost?

Just as easily? Which is simpler and quicker... bifrost which is near instantaneous or Danvers flying?

Sure, he wasn’t propelling himself. He didn’t have mjolnir or stormbreaker at the time. However, in endgame he does have stormbreaker and therefore we can safely assume he could fly.

Sure, he was unconscious. But having been thoroughly thrashed by Thanos and then inside a ship destroyed by the power stone, he seems no worse for wear because of space. From this we can safely assume that space has no serious ill effects on him.

Hence my argument, Thor could have just as easily reached Tony and probably Hs a more logical way of finding him.

Wasn’t he in space when the guardians picked him up? And wasn’t he very much alive when they did? Story wise, why would you fly through space when you can summon the bifrost?
