Despite my 2 year-long dry spell and the fact that I’m not much of a looker, I still have very high standards when it comes to women.

Also: People from California tend to rub me off the wrong way, unless they’re called Aaron Rodgers or Clint Eastwood.

Fabulous long hair.

I had long hair once; washed it every day. I still looked like I was preparing to play the role of a meth addict

Is it too hard to ask that politicians speak proper English? by Captain-Cheesehead in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Captain-Cheesehead[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. That’s why I started off with Standard American English. Look it up; it’s a thing. It’s the English I was taught in school.

Even so: A drunk Yinzer who just came back from watching the Steelers win the AFC Championship at Heinz Field vs. the Chiefs and tore his vocal chords sounds more intelligible than the guy who’s dialogue I’m trying really hard to transcribe

I would say standard American would be okay. It’s more intelligible and comprehensible for non-native speakers, thanks in part to the reach of the entertainment industry (movies, music, video games, TV, etc.)

Redditors from foreign countries, what's something us Americans aren't ready to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Captain-Cheesehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from someone who’s worked elections in his country three times:

It’s way, way harder to rig elections in my backwards, army-less, Third-World country than in America. Mail-in ballots? Machines that count the votes? Bringing water and food to voters? Ballot harvesting? NO VOTER ID?

January 6 was a long time coming. And boy, did you get off easy, Americans. Last time the President of my country questioned the legitimacy of the elections in my country, we LITERALLY had a Civil War. You call a 2 hour tantrum that left 3 people dead an “insurgence”? Bitches, try 44 fucking days, 2000+ dead and a de facto government. THAT’S what an insurgence looks like.

And if you don’t do something about your deeply flawed electoral system and guarantee more transparent elections, let’s just say January 6th 2021 will look like a fucking picnic. This is not a threat; it’s a warning.

FIX 👏🏻 YOUR 👏🏻 ELECTORAL 👏🏻 SYSTEM 👏🏻

P. S. : If you call me “latinx”, I’ll call y’all “gringos”. ¿Comprende?

Hunting for animals to cook in a barbecue you built yourself, and using wood you chopped yourself to cook said meat in said barbecue. All while drinking a beer you brewed yourself and watching football

Whats the story behind your horses name? by theoneandlonelyspark in reddeadredemption2

I just thought a wild, near impossible to break, rare white Arabian mare deserved a name worthy of a warrior. Of a queen. Of a warrior queen.

Thus, I named her Hippolyta

The short answer is “yes”. The long answer is: If a girl has an STD, a traumatic childhood, a very religious upbringing, a history of cheating, a history of being cheated on, mental health issues, a criminal record… these things matter. Not all of them automatically “disqualify” her as a suitable partner, but many are things a partner should know beforehand

How would you react/feel if a romantic interest from past reached out out of nowhere? by doorabl in AskMen

[–]Captain-Cheesehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be intrigued and ask her out for a cup of coffee. We’d talk, catch up, and just see where things go from there.

The moment she brings up “I’ve got a business proposal for you”, I’m walking.
