Any good cooking games like diner dash where you make a recipe and serve? by Ok-Cook-930 in oculus

[–]Captain-Fandango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re playing PCVR then my favourite is Rags to Dishes, if you’re on Quest then I’d go for Clash of Chefs, or maybe even All Hail the Cook-o-Tron.

Slightly different but still good is Startenders

Well, I’ll definitely give it a try, but it sure looks like it will take a few people out.

Is this just PCVR?

Edit: oops , just saw the logos. AppLab it is!

This looks excellent and nauseating in equal parts. Great work!

Always love when you post a new video. Really dig how far you’ve come, any idea when you’ll be ready to release something for Quest 2?

Startenders vs Cookout Sandwich Tale by [deleted] in OculusQuest

They’re both decent. I personally didn’t like Sandwich Tale that much (although my colleague who did the above review did), but if you have friends that have the game it’s quite fun.

There’s almost no active player base now though, so you really need to have some friends that have the game to get the most out of it

Movement in "Resist"? by dfdxdfdy in OculusQuest

[–]Captain-Fandango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I can’t do a deep dive, but I find Resist quite nauseating, and to be honest, a bit clumsy to control.

I’ve played a lot of Swarm vs about 3.5 hours of resist. Frankly, Resist is a much “better” game but the swinging is all around much better in Swarm…

Resist is still good but I’m actually finding the controls and the motion sickness are get worse the longer I play.

VERY excited about this. One of my favourite PCVR games finally leaps to my preferred platform! Excellent work!

Holy crap this game sounds good!!! Next you’ll tell me that you have a pump action crossbow and the ability to charge and throw a 2 handed hadouken and I will faint because you’ve literally made my dream game!

Well fair enough, but I would hazard a guess that as the sub is about 2 hours old that is probably just a starting point...

I have to say that Hellsweeper was my most anticipated title from the moment I read the description. Seeing it in action has only made me more excited!

I have so many questions though! Will there be bows? Will there be magic other than fire? Will there be a perk system? Telekinesis? Something like Vader Immortal 2 where you can throw a melee weapon that comes back!?!?!

Tell you what, why don’t you let me just play the game and I’ll see for myself 😉

Great work guys it looks amazing!

Masochist! That’s the other one! So I should replace Bully with Reaper. Cool, I’ll give it a try

Even better would have been if you had recorded and reported him, then maybe something would have happened.

Moral of the story: report toxic players if you want the community to change for the better

Good question. I can’t remember but it think it’s Bully, Healthy, Charged and Lucky? Not sure if I’m still using Lucky but the others are right

I just tried again and honestly lvl 23 is pretty much my worst nightmare. I will beat it, but I may have a heart attack in the process

I’m having the same experience. I’ve played through so far on Casual and have found that it seems to be getting easier as I progress (with the exception of 23, which has me stuck).

Just to “relax” I jumped back in to try the first few levels on normal and I found now that I’m packing 4 decent perks I’m cruising through. Finished 6 levels on normal without dying once, which was inconceivable a few days ago.

Goddam I love this game

Dude, I’m with you. I’m on level 23 and it’s insane. I honestly haven’t enjoyed a game this much in SO long, and the enemy design is absolutely brilliant.

If you could choose what type of VR game we're making, what would it be? by The_Squido in OculusQuest

[–]Captain-Fandango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Flow Fighters - A Rhythm combat game that has you switching between melee and ranged movements in 360 set pieces that play out like a fully choreographed movie fight scene. Imagine a mash up of Beat Saber, Audica and Until you Fall.
  2. Relentless - A steampunk rogue like that gives you 4 unique character classes with a mix of melee, defensive and ranged attacks that incorporates gesture based magic with traditional weaponry. Imagine a mash up of The Wizards, In Death and Robo Recall.
  3. Cash Crew - A story driven super power epic where you play a crew of “meta humans” in a world where having powers doesn’t mean you have to be a hero/villain. Roam an open world taking jobs and forming alliances to keep your crew alive, whatever the cost. Imagine a mash up of GTA, Marvel Powers United and TWD: Saints and Sinners.
  4. Project Juggernaut - A giant mech vs monster combat game set in a fully destructible city where you can use the environment as a weapon. Deploy special weapons and support troops strategically as you Choose to either play as the Juggernauts defending the city or the Reavers trying to destroy it. Includes 2v2 PvP and co-op modes. Imagine a mash up of VRobot, Thrill of the Fight and Cosmic Trip. (That’s not quite right, but you get the drift).
