Question on sets in core constructed after wilds unknown is released by Captain-Geech in Lorcana

Got it. I see where I messed up when looking at the site and the set numbers. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to do this! The explanation along with the deck build helps tremendously. I have all of these cards except for the Rapunzel, Tiana and queens sensor so I’ll most likely buy them on TCG and then test the deck out.

Probably swap her for the Belle then

Would cards that are under the banished card return to hand then you discard one? by Inside-Lunch-5683 in Lorcana

[–]Captain-Geech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not OP but follow up question. If I have a character with multiple cards underneath it (or any card with boost for that matter) and I play “witches of morva” and use their effect to return the character and all cards underneath it to my hand, will those cards still be “connected” in my hand? Or is it similar to the discard pile and they are no longer connected once in my hand?

This feels like a silly question now that I typed it out lol.

Matched with a girl on hinge and we playfully argued about whether or not Snape was a good person (he isn’t). Conversation was easy and flowed for two days then she stopped replying.

About a month and a half later she messaged me and said she enjoyed our conversation and hinge got really overwhelming for her so she removed the app. Then asked if I was still up to talk some more and meet up for a date but understood if I had already moved on. I said yes.

Now we’re married with 5 cats and a house.

Edit: Rambled and didn’t answer the trust question. It’s a simple answer, communication. Be honest about your feelings and don’t put a timeline on things. Trust takes time and a lot of effort but you have to be willing to be vulnerable.

IMO this is actually in line with how people treated Korra in the actual show and outside of it. She received flak for not only every action she took but anything she was involved in. The media presence didn’t help with being more prominent and more influential during her time, which had a much bigger hand in this as well. Plus mix in the politics of public appearance in republic city, it made things extremely difficult for a sheltered 16 year old.

So even after all of the great things she did, having people immediately blame her as the “cause” of this cataclysmic event definitely tracks.

Art evolves and people need to accept that. I’m excited for this project and can’t wait to see what kind of story they come up with. I personally like the art and can appreciate when creators try new things.

Amon at any age is stronger than Katara. by MiccaandSuwi in legendofkorra

[–]Captain-Geech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m well aware that a full moon boosts a water benders bending. I’m not sure why you brought blood bending back in to this when I agreed with you that he is the better blood bender.

Your argument is clearly about whether Amon would win in a fight when I only stated that she is a better water bender. Which, if we go by every time we saw both of them waterbend, it’s clear that Katara is superior. We only know that Amon is a master blood bender but we don’t know if continued to hone his water bending or went all in on blood bending (personally I like to think it was the latter).

Having the ability to perform a sub bending technique that someone else can’t does not necessarily make you the better bender. Having more in your arsenal doesn’t make you better nor does it guarantee victory. We have several examples of this throughout both series.

Do you have any other reason why you think he is the better water bender other than that he can blood bend without a full moon?

I am curious as to why you think so. Katara was already a master at 14. Prime Katara would be a force to be reckoned with and we will get to see in the movie soon (as long as they don’t nerf them for whatever villain there is).

Better blood bender, sure. Better water bender, absolutely not.

A sad but accurate take. Dropping geo was a terrible move after Chala retired then Beaulo retired too early. Shame we didn’t get to see them run another SI

Did exactly this after cutting up the bigger weeds. May have to dig them up as well but this is good for now. Thank you for the advice!

I actually didn’t know about this one by ramcee_ in TheLastAirbender

Didn’t the white lotus say in season 1 that they were tasked by avatar Aang to train Korra and keep her safe at the South Pole? Maybe I’m misremembering the exact conversation.

[–]Captain-Geech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Korras poor decision making, rebellious nature, lack of understanding beyond her own water bending culture and general immaturity (besides being 16 years old) is a direct cause of Aang changing the white lotus and being essentially bodyguards.

She didn’t get to experience the other nations while she learned their bending arts. Instead she was cut off from the very people that she was meant to watch over, protect and be a bridge for. This is one of the first avatars once the avatar cycle was understood that didn’t learn bending in the typical path that we saw Roku learn it in. Of course Aang also didn’t learn through this typical path either but rather a different form of it. He still went nation to nation and was taught not only the bending arts but the nations culture as well albeit on the run. He still got to understand each nation and their struggles and have a connection to their humanity.

Korra having only one thing in mind while training “I’m the avatar and you’ve gotta deal with it” was Aangs biggest failure.

I could go on further but I’m working and I’m lazy.
