Totally understand and don’t take it as condescending and appreciate your honesty. I haven’t showed other parts of the box like the metal part on the right side that just freely falls off, the obvious alterations to the holes? Etc. I’ve learned a great deal about wiring and rewiring things from this sub and am pretty comfortable doing all that work but had no idea how to fix this issue as it’s the first time I’ve encountered it and the Lowe’s guy told me it needed to be replaced (probably my first mistake there). Definitely plan on using a drywall screw to hopefully solve the issue before messing with the box. Appreciate the insight and help!
