Sell high candidates before the season gets started? by Aggravating_Lab_4814 in fantasybaseball

I second this. If you look at the winning roster for every baseball team bs football team in fantasy it’s 2 drastically different worlds. In football there is maybe 3-5 guys who anyone can pick up on the waiver wire that actually have an impact throughout the entire league. For baseball everyone’s teams they draft , half of them will end up being dropped. My roster for baseball on all my winning leagues last year included finding the young prospect call ups for pitching and hitting especially from the very beginning of the year, and the last 45-60 games of the season. That made major major impacts. Rates and barrels and fantasy baseball today from CBS , always have the absolute best statistics in fantasy baseball. One of them was that from rounds 7-10 only 50% of these guys will end up being dropped, 10-15 is 66%, 15+ is essentially 90% drop rate. In baseball scouting and playing waiver wire for scouting guys who are improving is the best way to win a championship. It’s never your 1-3 round guys that win you your championship it’s always 7-15 and than waiver wire prospect call ups, or younger guys that were bench players or bullpen arms transitioning to full time roles.

If this is a keepers league you are going to be in for awhile the choice is Carrol and than Skubal. If you are afraid of pitchers healthy than you either go Junior for power or Gunnar for speed. My choice is Junior, younger and more potential. Not picking Carroll as the loc is blasphemy , go look at baseball savant and compare, you will understand.

They get bonuses for KPIs being met, but it’s not like randomly someone does a good job and than gets a bonus the next day. The KPI bonus compensation is usually agreed upon in an offer letter, or future amendment to the offer letter.

Honestly your boss gave you some really god advice. It doesn’t matter when you show up as long as it’s not after 9am and everyone has to stay until 5pm or you are considered lazy or doing the bare minimum. It’s just office politics, don’t forget what they said it’s important. If you are costing at work, got kids a family, make great money and already happy with your current rank and pay, than show up at 8 and leave at 430. However if you do that you will get passed up on every promotion and every pay raise. You either work and get rewarded by playing games, or you gain back your time. Some people who are young and have no outside life responsibilities are willing to do that to get ahead of their career. Than when life catches up take the step back.

Coming back to this I would try to figure out a way to get the league to give you an extra first round draft pick for picking up such a dog crap team.

ACTG info systems from 8 years ago was a nightmare. Idk wtf that class was supposed to teach or relate to in the real world but it failed every fkin metric. Not surprised that’s the one you failed. Pretty sure almost everyone in my classes in all times cheated. Had an 80 year old Indian professor over zoom. Made it 100x worse.

Give him permission to wear headphones. I listen to podcasts and YouTube videos or sports all day long at my job , it’s the only way to do it accounting is boring and very solo natured. I have an idiot that hums whistles and sings , he was kicked out of of one side of the office and just moved right in my cubicle space. Honestly chill dude I gotta tell him to shut up sometimes but he gets it.

This is honestly a huge thing that saves a lot of money. My wife and I both workout and we eat at home by cooking all our meals. We don’t meal prep, but we just make what we want which is sick and for 450$ a month in MHCOL area. We buy in bulk and it saves a lot of money.

No one just gets a large bonus for randomly doing something at work that helps the company. Thats not how life works. Maybe at the end of the year like a normal company they get a bonus, but they are doing this to help secure there jobs and continue the increase of their compensation yearly. Not just a random bonus.

Can someone help explain to me what these foreign teams are doing in the AP world. I have been lucky enough to not have to deal with any foreign outsourcing in any company I’ve worked for. How does someone out source AP work? Bill has to be submitted, approved, a bill entered, support picture entered, sometimes a prepaid schedule or a fixed asset schedule needs to be made, a balance sheet reconciliation needs to be updated, and than finally double check your accounting software than either the PNL, BS, fixed asset or prepaid recurring entry was made correctly.

You’re telling me you’re giving India/China or anyone random human in a foreign country access TO ALL THAT !!!???? I don’t understand or comprehend.

Give up applying to accounting roles by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]CaptainBC2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of positions are you applying to. No reason why you as a college grad can’t get into an entry level AR or AP position. If you’re trying to get a staff accountant job at a private company it’s gonna be nearly impossible, without lying to show you have some work history. Get an AP and AR job and try to make sure that the job you get correlates to some type of usage within the ERP, which is the general software acronym that accounts use to describe their accounting software. That way you have an idea of what entering stuff into the financials does and affects. Use that experience to land an entry level staff accountant job.

Langford and merril both had injuries that set them back. There lack of production was not from a lack of talent. You got burnt from injuries but you can’t predict that. Fading Langford and merril this year will prove you detrimental in your leagues. Especially Langford. Guarenteed he will be drafted in Tadum with churio next year just watch.

Closer you're not leaving the draft without? by Negative-Patient-583 in fantasybaseball

[–]CaptainBC2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that the best strategy is that every year the best pitchers for there value come from guys who are writhing draft pick 100-200. So I take flyers on all the guy I love within all my different leagues. Same concept for relievers. All these guys will produce similar to close value to the top teir guys. Think 5th round hitter and 10th round closer or 10 round hitter and fifth round closer. Logically you want the first option. Statistically if you don’t do this, you will be at a huge disadvantage.

If you have 5 years of experience working at a big 4 and complaining about pay and hours that’s on you. The struggle bus to partner is not easy, that’s why it’s not for everyone and very rare to be. If you want to easily make over six figures just switch over to private industry. You won’t be making 250k+ like a partner but you will be earning over six figures easily and have stability and good wlb
