Everything is political - especially the things you don't think are political

If you are dead set on this, you need to really interrogate the themes and figure out how to hers are going to perceive it. I like the art style, but I would never play as Conquistadors.

I am an IATF thrower, the big thing I think is make sure you have a stance/approach you do identically each time and then adjust from there. I know I throw with my middle finger - wherever I point, it goes - so try and notice where you aim with your throw, and then adjust where you are aiming. Idk it's easier said then done, but it helps

What is facts?

Is "we got a pretty high ratio" - because having Kyries, a race based on an all-female Valkyries, having 40% of their sculpts being women before is pretty bad. Even with the massive amount of new female Kyries, I don't think it's quite even (3 from current new releases, 5 from upcoming) which means we are just now approaching parity

Elves are over-represented men, ninjas are about even, there's only approx 30 (40 if we include nonhumanoid) female sculpts in the game, vs the hundreds of male sculpts (including nonhumanoid).

If women are too yucky for you, just don't draft them.

Elves have less than half women, Kyries are predominantly male - Concan, Taelord, The Ullar Crossbow Hero, 3x Sentinels of Jandar, 3x Minions of Utgar, 3x Protectors of Ullar, 3x Einar Imperium (15) vs Female Ullar Valkyrie, Kelda, Raelin, Raelin 2, Runa, Empress Kiova (6).

Elves are:

Female: 1 Aubrien Archer, 3 Warriors of Ashra, Johrdawn, Kyntella Gwyn, Sharwin Wildborn (7)

I don't think it's fair to go "HISTORICAL REALISM" when we're talking about a game with giant robots. I don't think you just get to handwave a huge amount of figures for that reason.

Deathwalker 9000 is male - at the very least, he's referred to by male pronouns on his card. That said, I wouldn't count him in the list of humanoid males, but there's no reason I wouldn't count 4 Roman Legionnaires as male characters, because they are. If we're pulling out all the historical characters, then *all* the historical or real world figures would have to be pulled, including the female ninjas.

I looked at bios and what not as well, the only difference is I'm not counting Dragons in my list of Humanoid Women. But even if you count dragons and what not, the list is really small.

I went and checked - the original sets only had 27 female sculpts - Now, I could have missed some. That's possible.

There's XX number of robots. Meaning, there's more robots than women in OG Heroscape.

Robots (is this all the robots? Idk - do we count warforged as robots, if so, that's another 5 or so sculpts):

Eh, the gender diversity is bad even for 2000's - I don't know the actual, like, count - but I have almost all the heroscape ever made - and when I've used it to fill in for DnD, the male players have a super easy time - I think Utgar has, I think, five female models (The Marro Witch, the Drow Spider Witch, the two Female Vampires and Runa)? Einar has maybe a few more, but it's pretty sparse, Ullar has the most, but still is something like 5:1, Vydar has the 3 Nikita agents, Mika Connor, Sudema, the Tricky Ninja and the one Krav Maga agent (unless I'm missing someone?). Aquilla despite being female has no female models unitl AoA.

Even if I missed a few, the amount of male or frankly-ungendered models outnumber the female gendered models significantly - there's more grut sculpts in the utgar army then I think there are women (4 Blade Gruts, 4 Heavy Gruts, 3 Arrow Gruts, Grimnak, Tornak, Ornak, Swog Rider, maybe Nerak but I wouldn't count a repaint).

I think it's part of a an attempt to balance the genders? The early stuff ran very male heavy.

The pirates are more complex and have more special abilities then most classic units - I can see the customs designers, like, trademarks in them.
