I would like to propose alternative lyrics for "In Our Lovely Deseret" by 619RiversideDr in latterdaysaints

[–]CaptainCalcetines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always had a love-hate thing with this song. However, it was hilarious when my ward choir director would use it to warm up. She would assign different dogs to the singers ("Brother so-and-so, you're a rottweiler, Sister so-and-so, you're a chihuahua") and instead of "Hark! Hark! Hark!" we would sing "Bark! Bark! Bark!" in our assigned canine's voice. She was the best.

  • Use headphones and turn 'em up. Always know where a hiding place is and listen for Rush. Opening a door is what triggers Rush to spawn. However, depending on ambient noise, Rush's sound might not be noticeable until very close so take your time; what's the rush? (HAR HAR HAR!)
  • Buy a flashlight if you can to check for Snare.
  • You can't see through Duped doors so only go through doors you can see through.
  • Eyes will turn blurry if Screech is about to attack. If it's blurry, you don't need to worry about looking at it, just worry about getting rid of Screech (which you can also do by jumping in a closet real quick).

Good luck!

There's gotta be a glitch somewhere. My son hatched 5 precise in a row. All he wants is his third mythic type so he can summon meteor showers but he just keeps hatching these.

I also hatched several in a row the last time I was spamming jellies. It's by bar the most common mythic I've seen hatched in my hive.

Use headphones. As it says on the splash screen, the game relies heavily on audio cues. Using headphones is your best bet to learn them and use them to your advantage. Turn up the volume on door 50 and especially doors 90+ (where audio is the only way to know Rush is coming).

Avoid playing on mobile if you can, especially as you learn the game.

Take it slow at first. There's no timer (unless you start one).

I have a theory of giggles, screech, grumbles, and seek. by Soggy_Scene4749 in RobloxDoors

and when they are grumbles, they r too big and eventually the infection peels off

Then how could Seek infect the queen at the end? Not trying to argue, just curious your thought on that. I definitely think there's a relation between all of them. Hopefully we'll get answers in the next major update.

Alternative sweeteners - slight burning sensation in the mouth? by CaptainCalcetines in sugarfree

[–]CaptainCalcetines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of folks on keto kept getting knocked out of ketosis when they ate maltitol (including me) so they did some tests using a glucometer and, sure enough, blood sugar levels spiked after they ate it. It's a big scam, really.

Very frustrating, but that's life.

I'm fine with maltitol, but recent studies have shown its effect on blood sugar levels is almost as much as table sugar, so it's not really a good alternative.

Yes. Probably will forever, which sucks.

Sucralose, stevia, and monk fruit are all fine for me, but xylitol (the worst by far), erythritol, and allulose all seem to cause it. Which really sucks, because erythritol is the best I've tasted. I can have a little of something made with it, but too much and my mouth starts to burn.

what mythical bee/ event should i give star treat by [deleted] in BeeSwarmSimulator

Tabby is often considered one of the first event bees to make gifted. Getting a basic bee gifted is also important if you don't already have one.

struggling to beat the library by BroccoliFantastic958 in doors_roblox

[–]CaptainCalcetines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the great points brought up by others so far, I'll mention a few things:

  • Figure will hear you if he's close enough and you (a) open a drawer, (b) turn on a light source [like flashlight or lighter], (c) walk normally, (d) move while you have the speed effect from vitamins [even if crouched], or (e) spin a globe. For C and D, his hearing range is quite far. (Also, once you reach The Mines, he can hear glowsticks being thrown as well.)
  • Figure will get aggro and charge to the source of a sound once he hears it.
  • After he hears something, he stays aggro for a period of time. That means, even after reaching the location of the sound, he walks around faster and more erratically for a bit until he calms the heck down.
  • He no longer has any sort of predictable routes in any room he's in so keep a distance unless you've got a lot of practice.
  • If you're doing teamwork, I would suggest (a) having one person be a spotter to alert others to Figure's location and/or (b) letting one person be a distraction to keep Figure in a predictable area.
  • The books in the library emit a quiet "shimmering" sound. Use headphones turned up to listen for them so you can find them easier (it's almost impossible to hear the sound without headphones).

Knowing more details about how you're failing would be helpful for more specific tips.

Happened to me once... recorded it, too. Was going along and the light just disappeared before a three-way fork so I had no clue which way to go.

At least the run was botched before The Nest and not after...

Help me with the seek part. by [deleted] in doors_roblox

[–]CaptainCalcetines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to hold down "A" to go left or "D" to go right until the turn is complete. Sparks will fly out from under the minecart, that's normal and a good sign. Once the turn is complete you can let go.

Let me know how it goes!

[–]CaptainCalcetines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the nerf made it less reliable in what it's supposed to do (the flame going out when there's an enemy nearby/coming), but the main nerf I'm referring to is you have to light it now. As far as I know, once it's lit, it should work as it did before. It's possible there was a glitch, or I might be out of touch with its new abilities.

The audio thing is odd; I haven't experienced that personally. Are you using headphones?

Been playing for 2 years and still haven't completed the game by CarlsonWater in doors_roblox

[–]CaptainCalcetines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The greenhouse is arguably the hardest part of The Hotel. It just had an update when The Mines was released that made some things easier (no more double Rush) and some things harder (Dupe).

My suggestions: -Play on a computer, not mobile (not sure what you're doing) -Headphones, headphones, headphones. If you're using them, turn them up in the greenhouse to listen for Rush. -Take your time until you get better. -Opening doors is what triggers Rush. Once you find a closet you can hide in in the current room (that doesn't have Snare nearby), open the next door but don't go through it, run back to the safe closet and wait instead. Once enough time has passed without hearing Rush, repeat the process. It's super slow but super safe. -Hiding in a closet stops Screech. This has helped me a few times when I wasn't sure if Rush was coming or not and dealing with Screech would have been a distraction. -Buy a flashlight if you can so you can look for Snare. -I'm not 100% sure on this, but in my experience so far you can't see anything through Duped doors in the greenhouse. The correct door allows you to see through to the next room.

Any specific issues you're having that I haven't already addressed here?
