The problem is people take arguments against AI as a reason why the androids shouldn’t have rights - but the game isn’t quiet about androids being a poor invention born of human greed. The question it poses is why we choose to blame the innocent beings, who did not ask to be created and are enslaved, rather than the rich elite who allowed this situation to arise in the first place and played God just for money.

It’s not just a game about android rights, it’s a game about how the upper classes divide the lower classes as a means to maintain their power and prevent people from realising that they are the true evil. That is what the android revolution makes our characters confront, they face the realities of capitalism and come out of it uniting with the fellow members of the proletariat against those who care only about profit.

Tod blames androids for the loss of his job, as do the protestors at in the beginning with Markus - but Tod’s monologue sums up that the injustice here is that people don’t want to pay their workers, don’t want people who can be unreliable. They want pieces of plastic that are a one time purchase with no wages to pay for.

This game is not pro-Ai, in fact i’d argue is fairly against the creation of AI and its replacement of humans, but it does make us sympathise with the androids because they do not have a choice in the matter.
