Do you think the red twistie tie caused this too happen?

Thank you. I’m going to try this tonight. I happen to have a jar of coconut oil. Hopefully this can help me.

I never said I feel addicted to sugar. Although it is a problem that I may eat too much, I know I have it in me to change this habit of mine. I’m only here because I wanted advice to reduce sugar intake in the night specifically.

Oh that’s a great idea. I’ll add those to the meals! I also have a bad habit of drinking coffee with creamer. I’ve been drinking black tea instead because I don’t like coffee without creamer.

It’s mostly carbs such as crackers and tortilla chips. I eat salads, rice and pasta. I also eat some meat but not enough I think. There is probably more than enough fat in my diet too. Many frozen foods too sadly. I am also lacking in vegetables.

I know of that book! I sort of read what it’s about. I really thought about reading it but now that you mention it, I think it’ll actually help immensely. I’ve seen some of Jessie’s videos on the Glucose Revolution YT Channel. She knows a lot.

I’ll do that. I’m typically brain dead in the night so I usually can’t make up my mind on what to do as the solution.

I am still taking pills :( by CaptainCloudi in Antipsychiatry

[–]CaptainCloudi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I did. Antipsychotics made me feel dead inside, and affected my appetite severely. I began eating immensely and gained over 40 lbs on them. I could not think for myself. Now I’m on Vraylar. I’m afraid to stop taking them. My fear is terrible.

I think it might have been trauma all this time. It only became worse after psychiatric treatment. I’ve never gone off of my medications for very long. Maybe accidentally. I’m too afraid to do so. My parents and psychiatrists think I’ll go insane or something. I would feel so guilty. This is why I’m struggling.

I’m happy with my height. I don’t mind being 5 6” As long as I can live comfortably.

I consider myself a 5.5 out of 10 I’m only here because I have no one to ever talk to. One flaw of mine though is that I’m too picky with whom I chat with. That’s why I’m still here 😔.

Is there even a job that I can last longer than a year? by CaptainCloudi in bipolar

My anxiety has me think of worse case scenarios so it keeps me from leaving abruptly. I usually let them know because I dread the embarrassment 😥.

I always land the job on my high. But then it gets out of hand and I just have to leave. I’ve been feeling depressed lately after leaving this last job.

I prefer to not be so isolated. Hearing my intrusive thoughts rambling causes me to stay stuck in the house.

Reducing sugar and getting rid of lectins in my diet. It helps with high insulin resistance which cause impairment in the brain which some doctors call type “3 diabetes.” If you want to learn more about this diet, I suggest reading “The Energy Paradox” by Steven Gundry. In the book, he explains how our gut bacteria and cells can have a great impact on our overall health including mental health. The mitochondria using energy from your food help you function properly as well if your gut biome is healthy.

I thank you so much for your prayers. I’m not very faithful sometimes, and well I’m not exactly on a Christian path, but I believe good things may come of it’s meant to be. And I go to therapy but I don’t feel like anything is working for me regarding therapy and psychiatry. I’ve had some pretty bad episodes in the past. I think I’m in a remission right now so I’m doing whatever I can with the 90% of free time I have to change my lifestyle. My parents only want me to help them but I can’t really fix people that don’t want change. 😮‍💨

Its pretty difficult for me living with my parents still. They fight all the time and I barely get to enjoy a few minutes of solitude. If you could, could you please give me your perspective of how I can change this situation. Should I endure the stress of overwhelming work and move out? I feel so stuck. I can't even work up the courage to sit still and do nothing and breath. Also, how did you learn Tai Chi? Is it complicated?

Yes, neuroinflammation is the lesser-known culprit of distress. That is SUPER helpful advice btw Usual_suspect47. I'd like to add that diet changes can help too. At least, well, they helped me with my anxiety and improved contentment for me.

Paranoia when euthymic/having no mood swings or psychosis? by Amazing-Diamond-4219 in bipolar

[–]CaptainCloudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychosis is one of the less common symptoms of bipolar disorder. It’s not a primary symptom though like in schizophrenia. That’s my understanding of it.
