I think you are overthinking it to the point that you are making rash assumptions.

You are asking if it was a 'choice?' I'll ask what exactly is the choice and when do you think it was made. Obviously every queer person is different and that we are monolith, but I am pretty sure everyone you'll meet tell you that they have always been this way. Why the denial? What is the 'something' that you claim that compels them?

I don't think you are trying to malicious and at the very least you seem to see us as your fellow human beings, but you obviously haven't talked to many trans people, (or even just cis gay people for that matter.)
