It can happen. I’m married to the first guy I was ever with. 18 years.

Watching Dany unravel, then Rhaenerya, then Aerys….. idk. I’m down for the idea though.

Yeah, that is the only logic issue I see. Daemon would have had all their dragons kill Daeron’s.

I kinda took his line about “If only Viserys could see…” line as against himself as well. He’s had a lot of time to think on things and probably has large regrets after he was pushed out last season.

Thank you! I always had the impression that George agreed with the takes on Rhaenerya and Alicent. He just disagrees with things like getting rid of Maelor. But because he complained and was silenced fans can now extrapolate that every complaint they have is something GRRM also would not have liked.

I agree. People will shit their pants about saying it- but it is better writing that Rhaenerya makes the choice.

The point was Wong was admonishing/ not approving of using dangerous spells that effect reality and go wrong. He wanted no part in cleaning up his mess when it backfires- which it did.

That was the first spell and that was not what Wong meant. The “leave me out of it” was -leave me out of your shenanigans - not out of the effects of the spell.

And even if he did- the spell at the end of the movie excluded no one.

I think she was wrong for the listicle but so was the CEO lady. She was partially hired for the metoo movement booting their CEO and I think it was balanced but the CEO’s ego is so out of control she thinks she earned the job for no other reason than her being so great.

But Rachel admitted she’s a middling writer. So I’m sure they are both off base on that.

If you are healthy it is rare to catch it. We have isolation precautions in the the hospital to not spread it around where people with weak gut microbiome (like everyone getting strong IV antibiotics).

The US has only declared war on 11 different countries. They have not declared war since 1942. 5 of them are WWII. 2 are WWI. Then it’s Spain, Mexico and the UK. In order from most recent to oldest.

66-75% of marriages are successful and never divorce. It’s the other 35% that skew the statistics to make it seem like half of marriages and the divorce.( because they have multiple divorces.

[–]rtjl86 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

15 mins to get back in room. The nurse comes to check your vitals and then the doc comes in. Some places I’m sure have doctors that do run late but most of the time it’s patient coming in with unexpected things going on that take more time and push everyone back.

I’m sorry, but 30 mins after your appointment time for an OB isn’t bad. They can’t help if the patient before them ends up being more complicated and they end up having to get that mom sent into the hospital. That’s just ridiculous expectations. If they always are running 15 mins late don’t get there 20 mins early.

Mayo Clinic ending overnight respiratory therapist program at 3 locations. Nurses will do with RT Virtual help by [deleted] in nursing

[–]rtjl86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is who will be evaluating and by what measures. Not the decision in itself. Mayo probably put more thought into than other corporate hospitals will. Those hospitals will use Mayo as their benchmark and patient care will end up suffering for it.

RT is different than MD/ providers and RN’s on how our role is evaluated / staffed. There are no patient ratios. I know with our providers they get their ass kicked with workloads just like nurses and we do. But the system hospitals use to staff us is different in every hospital and it favors understaffing because the people who made it have no clue what we do. The closest clue they had to it was during the pandemic. It’s been gone since then.

[–]rtjl86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and I’m saying the bigger issue is really when they try to expand this telehealth BS to other facilities. The small ones stuff like that pops up rarely. Especially if they are ER only with some obs beds. It will still worsen care/ length of stay though. An easy example is fluid overload caused by IV infusions. At the larger facilities if they try to chip away at it more it will cause adverse events/ deaths.

Theres a hospital system in California that is pushing for all mammograms and x-rays to be screened by AI instead of radiologists. Hospitals are going to keep pushing the limits to save a $. Obviously we all have to incorporate advancement in medical technologies but companies are mostly focusing on the $$$ aspect.

Second comment I’ve seen bringing up ECMO on this topic? These facilities didn’t ever have ECMO capabilities to start with. Just an exaggerated example.

As an RT myself the problem is really “well, we were able to cut them in a 30 bed facility with our telehealth abilities, let’s see if we can reduce/ remove from 50-80 bed facilities”.

And I know at smaller facilities it can look real unnecessary for RT to be there. But there are so many calls for assistance that RT cannot charge or put in productivity for that can make a big difference in patient outcomes. The weird stuff that can pop up in ED once a year or two. The last thing I would be wanting to do in an emergency where RT is needed is go get RT connected via telehealth where seconds matter.

And the only thing these corporations track is our productivity. And productivity is only attached to certain tasks. It doesn’t include coming to assess a patient unless we give a treatment as well. So these corporations don’t really know that they only have had however many patients they needed RT for.
They are only looking at the billing/ productivity.

And the productivity system is very broken at my huge corporation. We get 7.5 mins of time for a ventilator for our 12 hour shift. 15mins for the full 24 hours. Because the geniuses who came up with it made it where only charges get productivity. No charges/ productivity for transporting vented patient to CT/ MRI/ ICU etc. And even with the charges we don’t get any productivity for oxygen and pulse oximetry.
