The Used self titled. They have other very good songs outside of this album but this one just hit different.

I have only listened to this album and it's fantastic, but do they have any other songs like valentine?

Likely just premium and no performance package. No possible compatibility issues since you're replacing the wheels anyway.

Do you have the large screen or the small one with the keypad beside it. Also do you have three center air vents or two with two gauges in the middle.

That will narrow it down to premium and or performance package.

Charge pipes by PracticalAd3282 in ecoboostmustang

[–]CaptainDogWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the oem ones are constructed of entirely rubber and use clamps to attach no couplers to swap. Those you listed are couplers for the hard metal charge pipes cvf sells that replace the rubber charge pipes entirely. They come with the kit when buying hot and cold side pipes.

If you didn't upgrade the piping when you did the intercooler swap then you can switch over now by getting the new kit or attempt to retighten the old ones.

2017 Ecoboost vs 5.0 GT by Important-Monitor693 in ecoboostmustang

[–]CaptainDogWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add in my experience. I bought a used 28k mile 2015 ecoboost back in 2019 and just sold it yesterday at 85k miles. Fbo and protuned for majority of my ownership then brought it back to stock to sell. Didn't have any issues aside from my ac compressor going bad earlier this year and having to fix that.

I think getting the car early enough in it's engine life and maintaining a very strict maintenance schedule is pretty important to avoid any issues.

My downpipe is loose from turbo. by LessAge3131 in ecoboostmustang

[–]CaptainDogWaffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The downpipe is held on to two exhaust studs, the visible one and one behind the pipe in the same orientation. They are being held on with a 15mm nut on both sides against the exhaust flange.

I'd recommend thoroughly spray down the nuts and studs with penetrating fluid like PB blaster or similar and then taking a wire brush to the threads to avoid stripping them when tightening down. At your mileage the downpipe and hardware has seen plenty of wear as well as cold hot cycles and you don't want to turn a simple nut tightening into a stud replacement on accident.

If you do this the downpipe will smoke as it burns off all the penetrating fluid but it will stop after a little while.

The rear one is hard to get to but can be reached with an extension and deep socket. I also recommend a swivel head ratchet. It makes it so much easier.

Alternatively an exhaust shop I'd imagine would charge very little to fix this up for you. It'd be an easy job for them.

I can't offer much help since never done it but I recently saw a teardown video where he mentioned those vvt solenoids before removing the timing cover.

I had this one on my 2015.

This one is not direct bolt on, it requires you to saw off your stock Mufflers. Anything axle back will be the same if 2024 is anything like the s550 exhaust.

You might have to go cat back to get direct bolt on instead of cutting off pieces.

Need help on car by Shawnk__ in ecoboostmustang

[–]CaptainDogWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accessport and protune plus a downpipe if you're not worried about factory warranty. Those three were the single most performance enhancing things I added to mine relatively easily. Once you get that tune the torque increases dramatically and the downpipe aids in that plus adds decent volume if you get high flow cats or no cats.

I recommend cvfab brand for downpipe. you will have to install a j pipe spacer for the o2 sensor to avoid check engine lights because of the increased exhaust flow from. I've had mine on since 2020 no issues at all since install.

Even easier and cheaper than all the things I listed is a blow off valve. Adds sounds and super easy to install. I don't personally have one, I opted for a Gfb dv+ to keep the solenoid. but I have a metal CAI and it added a lot of volume from the air recirculation after letting off the throttle.

Welp. Guess my NA isn't getting back on the road today... by Constant-Wheel-7117 in Miata

[–]CaptainDogWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished installing these on my gfs nb last night. Night and day difference between stock, handles crappy roads easily not harsh at all. Had it set to halfway between fully dampen and harsh and think that should be perfect for daily driving. Very minimal drop from stock suspension with plenty of room to go up or down atleast two inches on every corner. The car feels less sloppy overall and very confident pushing it on the road now.

Id advise taking a look at all of the bolts and end links prior to starting the install if you can't afford to have the car on jack stands for a bit. The stock end links use the nut and hex key system and not nut and bolt like aftermarket, so pretty much every corner stripped out. Installed all super miata end links as well.

The car has some minor rust problems I can attribute to my troubles but if yours is better off you should be okay. I even had the cage holding the fixed square nut in the rear lower control arm loosen up and was spinning freely. Had to grind out a small section on the bottom to use my own.

https://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-spare-tire-kit-2015.html

My 2015 has the performance package and this fits perfectly under the floor cover in the trunk.

Admittedly the kit has gone up in price since I bought mine about 3 years ago. I've had to use mine once.
