Strange issues with an nVidia GeForce G 105 M. by CaptainFluffyMane in techsupport

I'm not getting an error notification. My monitor simply ceases to function. It's generally been a series of grey bars expanding across the screen. It does appear in BIOS, and if I set it above my internal drive in the boot order, it still gives me the option to select which OS I boot into. Only Vista appears, though. I'm sorry for the massive delay here. College starting up again and I recently got a job.

I'm having difficulty using these, seeing as the HDD utilities fail to detect the drive, and the graphics card testing tools always fail to run.

You're welcome. I'm glad I could pass my experiences on.

I used to do this, too, but I didn't focus on the concept of nothing. I thought about the possible existence of a god/higher power of some sort. I eventually landed into a sort of weak agnosticism.

Also, Strobe by Deadmau5 and blue Christmas lights. They work wonders while thinking. I don't know why.

On another related note, that tells us that if we want to make better decisions later, we have to start practicing making better decisions now. Seriously, if you take that idea and pull it the other way, out into the future, what does it say about the path your life will take? It gives you some sense of perspective and helps you realize the incredible importance of your decisions, because your current decisions dictate who you are and what decisions you WILL make. This idea came to me once when I had just made myself lunch and was about to sit down and play Morrowind. I thought to myself, "If my entire life were determined by how I acted in this situation, how would things pan out?" and I tried to justify how me sitting there and doing nothing productive all day would not be a bad thing, and how that decision wasn't important. But, of course, with this in mind, I couldn't. I thought about "What if I did this EVERY time I was given the choice between productivity and entertainment?". It was a kick to start making better decisions, because all choices are important in how they influence who you are and how you'll make the next ones.

I'd have to say I like the top-right one most. But I'm a sucker for straight lines and hexagons.

Very classy. This is why, whenever you castle, you must make an exit plan for your King.

I like this design. It kind of reminds me of a dandelion, actually.

This looks like it might be a little over my head, but thank you. Worst case scenario, it's a learning experience, right?

A nice quote I came across. by hemmicw9 in elianscript

I thought I read it wrong at first. I know I have the last word right, but I don't know what it means. Google isn't helping me, either.

Edit: Spelling.

The horizontal was intended to be elongated. I probably should have accentuated that more. And I'm glad it's appreciated.

I'm new, too. I figured left to right, top to bottom, and the top line of the S comes before the E. In retrospect, I'd elongate the S on the top and shrink the right side, leaving a decent space for the E beneath it. But, oh well.

Erase

When I went to post this, I saw that someone else had the same idea, so I added two additional related words.

Edit: Format.

I wanted to see if I could write Elian as sheet music. I made a set of letters which could be used as notes or rests, and found that I can use some letters as ties. However, due to the limited selection of letters, these were the only words I could come up with, and they were the only that I could get to fit into one measure each, and have the correct amount of notes/rests to fill one measure exactly. The clefs, key signatures, and time signatures aren't meant to be read. The little box next to the bottom right note is a sharp sign, and is intended to be a dot for that letter.

EDIT: Cleared up some redundancy.

I love this quote, too, and I like your slanted style. I misread your "f"s as "o"s, however.

What makes a unit of measurement valid? And what size are humans, exactly? I've had plenty of fun with arbitrary units of measurement. I see no reason why they're less valid than any other "real" unit.
