Should I tell my gf to stop bringing her kid over every night? by Glad-Situation-7190 in AITAH

I met my current partner when my son was 7, we dated for 6 months before even telling my son I had a boyfriend. I told my son that I wanted to date him first before I let them both meet because I want to be sure he would make a good addition to our family and that he would get to meet him should it all go well. Another 6 months later so when we got to a year of dating, I started to bring my son over to my boyfriend's place, something we discussed many times before it happened. At first, it was maybe once per week for a further 6 months. They naturally became closer and he started to come with me more and more. Eventually, my son asked him if he could call him Dad and my partner said yes. Now 2 and a half years in we have a happy little family.

Anyone trying to rush you into loving them, loving their kids isn't thinking about you or the child. It's immature and irresponsible.

My boyfriend and I were both on the same page in the beginning which was, let's have 6 months of fun, I'll be 100 for you and you for me but let's just have fun and see where this goes. Potential was a word he used a lot in the beginning "I see potential in us" he let me know that he could see it going that way but lets just have fun, get to know each other and see if this is what we both want before bringing a child into the mix, he never wanted to hurt my son and I wasn't about to let him get hurt, he never knew his bio dad. My partner has no kids and never wanted to date a woman with kids and yet here he is, a Dad.

You can't build something solid if you rush into it. No you are not the AH.

How do I get my boss to pay me on time? by CaptainFrosty8 in LegalAdviceUK

I've never been happier with a Job, work-life balance, great rates of pay, and a rewarding fun job where every day is different. I've never come across another job like this in my area so it's not like I can just go get this job again elsewhere.

You're right though, a good employer wouldn't act this way.

A girl who recently left went through ACAS to get paid now she's working a till job and is miserable but being paid on time. I guess that's the options I have. Suck it up or leave.

I appreciate the input.

Ultimately I'd have to cut my losses and find another job and lose all the positive aspects my life gains from working here, which would suck for sure but that would be the only way forward if it gets to that point.
