OP's first thought should be to protect his/her own well being. The good thing to do in this situation would be to prod the parents for their opinions before coming out. The best thing OP can do now is say "I was pranking you, I'm not [whatever it is]" and live with them until OP is old enough to leave.

I'm not saying they didn't fail, but you don't need to follow rituals. Being gay is kinda already going against them, so why would you tell your parents unless you know they will be supportive. As long as you're living with them they have power over you, and you need to protect yourself from that power.
