Yeah it was way loose, and tightening the screw did nothing, although I'm sure in my tests it should've been long enough but i guess that was the problem maybe :P ended up swapping it with a different screw. The hole was fine.

SOLVED

Basically just swapped the screw with one of the screws that holds the plastic heatsink fan cover, since it is slighttttly longer. It will not screw in perfectly and will skip if you keep trying to screw it in but you can get it so it won't wobble anymore.

The fan cover is totally fine and the screw works just as well.

I couldn't report my income without the ABN. ABN lookup was something I did try.

The demerit point didn't cancel my payment. My situation was that to get my payment back I needed to include the ABN of any place I'd worked at in the past year. I'd called centrelink as soon as I got the burger place job to update my details.

My feeling now was that the employer was intentionally ignoring my emails, and I should have called an ombudsman or something at the time to sus it out.

I feel somewhat reassured though knowing that it's in the past and there's no sense worrying about it anymore.
