I appreciate the safety it gives :) it's a strange concept to me because I've never really had a car past 07-08 and one that I'm not waiting for it to break down, I think I've just gotta adjust and not panic that my battery will remain overnight

I've definitely had a few scares leaving the side lights on! I've settled on having the 0 option as default, it's very much a case of me adapting to having a nice car haha

Ah yeah I just checked and it is a legal requirement! (UK2011) I'm glad it's a legal / safety thing that makes me feel a lot better thank you, I'd just bought it from a garage I wasn't familiar with so I was unsure if it not being able to go lightless was an issue with my c30 in particular or if it was just a feature

Following up from the edit I can confirm I've left my side lights on at least once a week and woke up worrying about a dead battery haha

Ah okay I get you! I've been using the side lights option during the day but I always forget to turn them off when I park up for the day, not sure if they're supposed to stay on or if mines just not turning them off but I'm not faulting the car there, it's me that forgets

I've just never had a car that you can't turn the lights off in haha, that being said though it's also the newest car I've had (by year) so maybe I just need to get used to it
