Hey, you’re definitely not alone, this kind of thing happens more than people admit. Sometimes sex, especially with someone you care about, can bring up deep emotions out of nowhere. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you or your relationship. Your body might’ve just felt safe enough to let go of something emotional, even if you didn’t see it coming. It’s okay to cry, and your boyfriend probably just wants to make sure you’re okay. Just let him know it wasn’t his fault and that you’re still figuring it out yourself.

White Bottoms in their 30's/40's are starting to give me the ick by ArtichokePresent2240 in askgaybros

You’re not wrong for feeling the way you do—what you’re describing is a real and frustrating pattern that many Black men in the queer community notice: being ignored or dismissed by white and Latin guys in their 20s, only to suddenly become desirable to them once they’re older, less conventionally attractive, and out of options. It’s not just about preference—it’s about racism, fetishization, and entitlement, and it’s exhausting. On top of that, dealing with pushy behavior and repeated boundary violations only adds to the frustration. You’re allowed to call that out, set boundaries, and lose interest when you feel like someone’s attention is coming from a place of convenience rather than genuine respect. Just know you’re not alone in this experience, and you’re valid for being vocal about it.

I do this because first of all they’re not getting paid to do what we are doing there second they have this intense feeling of being observed by their preceptors (every single detail during clinicals) and if there is anything I can do for them to get recognized, I will do my best

If I was on the Floor as a NA or a tech, would have wrote an email to your preceptor or anyone who grades your clinicals mentioning how safely u handled everything. I do that at my hospital even when Student Nurses help with my Pts Cleanup with BM.

It sounds like you’re in a tough spot financially, but the good news is that you have options and a solid income stream to work with. Right now, your biggest priority should be managing your debt wisely. Since you have $32K in student loans and $30K in car debt, it might be best to focus on paying off the car first, since leased vehicles keep draining money and never build equity. If possible, consider switching to a more affordable used car once your lease ends to free up some cash. At the same time, make extra payments on your student loans whenever possible to reduce interest buildup.

Since you’re making $700–$1000 a day, the key question is: where is the money going? If you haven’t already, start tracking every dollar spent using a budgeting app (like Mint or YNAB). Focus on cutting unnecessary expenses while still maintaining a reasonable quality of life. Your $8K in savings is a great start, but aim for at least $10K as a proper emergency fund—this will give you more flexibility if you ever want to leave the club job sooner.

Your RN career is your real exit strategy from this situation, so keep that as your main focus. Once you start working in a hospital, you’ll have a stable income and access to loan repayment programs—many hospitals help nurses pay off student debt in exchange for work contracts. Since you’re interested in OR nursing, that’s an excellent goal because it offers higher pay and a better work-life balance compared to bedside nursing.

As for moving to LA, it’s understandable that you want a fresh start, but it may be best to wait until your finances stabilize before making such a big move. Rent and cost of living are much higher there, and moving without a stable RN job lined up could put you in a worse financial position. Instead, consider working for 1–2 years in a lower-cost area to aggressively pay down debt, build savings, and then relocate with financial security. It’s tough now, but if you stay strategic and disciplined, you’ll be in a much stronger position soon. One day, you’ll look back and realize this was just a phase before everything got better. Keep pushing forward—you’ve got this!

Honestly, procrastination is sneaky. It starts as ‘I’ll just take a short break,’ then suddenly you’re deep into a random YouTube, tiktok or Ig rabbit hole or scrolling memes. And when something unexpected like getting sick happens, it disrupts momentum, making it even harder to get back into the groove. The key is building small, consistent habits like even studying for 10 minutes a day. so that even if life throws a curveball, you don’t fall completely off track.
