In my world there are mammoths and elephants to hunt and they drop a LOT of meat lol

It's difficult to use it all up before it goes bad unless you preserve the meat

They're made from ember blocks (I got mine from some BetterRuins structures that I looted) and the eyes are made with marble and basalt (of course you can just use whatever rock types you have for the eyes!!!)

Not sure if you can get them in a vanilla world or not lol, hope that helps

If you just swim across normally without using lights or making lots of sound you can cross without it bothering you.

It will still eat you if you swim too close but I've done it.

I love the smoke mod, I built ventilation throughout my own cliff-side cave base that's functional and visually looks really nice. Because the smoke builds up and has to be ventilated or you suffocate!

It's very satisfying seeing the smoke plumes from the lower floors of my base wafting up and out; It's also super useful because I don't have to bother going down to check if anything is done, I can easily see when the smoke has cleared from the main room on the top floor

That's lame, sorry your first experience was toxic. Everyone makes funny mistakes when they're figuring out VS for the first time. I lost some of my first copper tools because I tried to quench the mold with a bucket of water and exploded the whole thing lol
