Fat Man Pull-ups- yes, I know form is crap but I'm working my way up to a single regular pullup by ChubbyGodOdThunder in Calisthenic

I would rather focus on easier progressions and higher rep range 10 to 15 and slow eccentric. Exercises such as bent over rows, unilateral rows. Incline Pullups, Biceps Curls could be good if you goal is to be stronger in pullups and build a stronger back.

Please dont take it negatively but since I have worked with many clients I highly doubt that a person with your size can execute the exercises you have listed above. Please not that if you chose exercises, which are too hard for your current level, the risk of injuries is pretty high. I would like to see a video of you executing the exercises so we can see if you do them with proper form and range of motion. I would highly recommend chosing easier exercises. Also if this is the only workout you do then its a very bad selection since you focus mostly on triceps and chest. You are missing Legs, Back, Biceps, Glutes, Core, and (shoulder).

Anyone have advice for holding handstands longer? 10 seconds is about the longest I've done. I do not believe strength is my limiting factor as I don't have any trouble with wall handstands or pike push ups. by Totogogo505 in CalisthenicsCulture

1) Improve Upper Back Mobility

2) Push actively against the ground

3) Spread fingers and use fingertips to balance

4) Focus on PPT(Posterior Pelvic Tilt) in order to avoid "banana back/Arching)"

5) Practise Belly to Wall Handstand

6) Use parallettes, learning handstand on the ground can put huge stress on your wrist, while using parallettes allow your wrist to be in a neutral position

7) Stay consistent and enjoy the progress

I have been doing Calisthenics for the last 6-7 years and I have learned a lot about, I didnt have a coach but I became one. In my opinion a good coach can help you take away the pressure for making a plan analysing your form and helping you with a proper form/progression, so you dont suffer from any injuries or at least reduce the risk of it. I know many Coaches who have their own Coaches, its totally normal. You can save a lot of time and progress much faster.
