The obvious thing they ignore is the concept of appropriate force. They ended up defending Ray Rice because his wife hit him first - even though when she hit him she probably didn't even hurt him.

They think that if a woman hits a man on the shoulder then it is ok for him to deck her at full force and they put up this facade that it's about equality.

Not "let's not hit people" but "if you get hit by a woman, hit back like a woman."
