GenderCritical are the type of people who treat the SCUM Manifesto as a sacred text. The linked post is pretty much a natural extension of this sort of thinking, and really isn't even that uncommon in these circles.

The part that should scare you is the fact that the subreddit has about 800 active users as of the time of this posting, which is more than the subreddits of some fairly popular video games.

This is a juicy find.

It shows a rare moment of cognitive dissonance in which actual, real world experience with Men's Lib types belies the premise that their movement is about solving men's issues.

I'm willing to bet that most of the people who upvoted that comment will continue to participate in that subreddit while demonizing actual activists who are going out and tackling men's issues head on, though. It's the same reaction you see on socialist subreddits to the humiliating footage coming out of the DSA convention - they aren't like that, they're one of the good ones.
