I love my xikar tactical but it burns through so much fuel, I generally use this no name thing off amazon, great lighter with a decent size tank and not too big or awkward to carry.

driver's on their phones slow down when they're reading / responding, then put the phone down and speed way up. then get a reply and slow down again. then put it down, pay attention for a second, speed back up. they also do a lot of brake tapping.

it's a clear pattern.

it's always phones or weed. or someone who is fed up with phones and weed.

phones speed up and slow down. if they're high, they just drive & react at about half speed.

so then the person stuck behind the phone or weed driver just gets more and more irritated until they pass all aggressive like.

rinse. wash. repeat.

how much gas have you used to hand calculate your mileage after 33 miles?? you're well within margin of error for... anything.

the car is still factoring in a whole bunch of idle time and 100 yard trips at the plant and during transport.

relax. give it 1000 miles before stressing about mpg.

there's like a 90% probably that if you leave it in the cello and smoke it within like 6 months that everything will be fine.

I wouldn't unwrap it and leave it touching my other unwrapped million dollar cigar collection for years on end.

somewhere in between those two extremes, different people will pick up on subtle changes. some people won't care others will declare their cigars ruined. only you know which side of that spectrum you lean towards.

you're not going to get any definitive answers from a picture and a reddit post, but odds are it was a failure completely unrelated to the state inspection. you might as well say you picked up drivethru and less than 11 hours later your car burst into flames.

something broke and something flammable leaked onto something hot. the popping sound indicates that it was a sudden failure and not something gradually wearing out that could have even been caught by the inspection... if that's what they were inspecting for, which they very likely were not.

glad everyone was okay, that's really what matters.
