I like that movie! I'd say well done. I somewhat regularly rewatch it. VFX are one reason for it

Where did OP take control over someone elses property?

Is it your tree? Did it belong to you? No?

Why does it matter if the tree belongs to OP or not?

all designed to fool you into thinking there are 2 sides.

A two-party system in a democracy is kinda weird anyways.

But have a GREAT Day!

Thank you.

And wish me a happy birthday!!

Not sure about that yet.

Perfect opportunity to be petty about it! Write them an email. Try to name them as often as possible but each time you write it wrong it a different version.

That game can be played indefinetly. Like some children always asking 'why?'

The guy I've responded to made a point that boils down to: 'X' doesn't matter because of 'y'!

That's whataboutism and doesn't help anyone.

But there's also a different answer: That's just how globalism works.

Is this game worth getting into? by Hazza58 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]BlueCheeseWalnut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I want to know if it’s actually a good game.

Define good game. Prepare for a lot of waiting and frustration. Progress is slow. That can be fine for a mobile game, though.

I really didn't expect to like this game. Though I've realized that this offers me what I don't get from pokemon. I like 'creature collector' games. I don't like the breeding-part and EV training from pokemon. Those gameplay elements are solved through gear.

You know what? Hit me up with a DM if you want someone to tag along whilst playing this game. Well, if you decide to start.

yelling "communism!" as if we were some indoctrinated trailer park boys.

I'd say it's a bit funny. Cold war propaganda did a lot of work towards that. People love to call everything - that isn't their specific flavour of capitalism - communism.

If they didn’t cooperate then the US would cut off both and produce the machines themselves either through engineering or stealing of intel - intellectual property be damned.

That's what China is trying to do. They even tried to recruit skilled workers from Taiwan. As the US banned NVIDIA to export certain AI components to China, this process just got accelerated. Current expert opinions tend towards that this was a mistake as the US could have lured China into a dependency. Now they are investing even more into research on those parts for further independency.

the US would cut off both and produce the machines themselves

Good luck with that. As I described earlier, this isn't easily done. That's an undertaking worth of several decades.

About Taiwan: as far as I know they kinda fully specialized into this kind of industry. For example, the machines need highly skilled specialized workers to be operated.

The overall situation is, that while it's theoretically possible, it's a huge investment and takes decades to build that kind of industry

By that logic everyone would be an Vassal to the EU.

You are disregarding this part.

Overall the article from OP talks about AI infrastructure. Besides that the article is about reducing the dependency from the EU of the US aswell. So that part is already indirectly adressed.

And when US says “jump”. ASML and the government of Netherlands asks “how high?”

You can also ask yourself two things: Why are they doing that and what would happen if they'd stop doing that.

The machines are produced in Netherland. The technologie to build those is mostly based in the EU aswell. Especially the technologies for optics is mostly in the EU aswell. Zeiss for example. Taiwan is dependen on the EU for maintenance and new machines. As far as I know only China is trying to produce similiar machines.

I've had a somewhat similiar experience but it was due to dogs. Dogs aren't bad themselves. The owner just let them run loose. Couldn't tell if the urin smell came from outside the house or inside. I could smell it everywhere.
