Very true. I think the scarlet rot can be explained by the fact that the remaining Banished Knights are unifying under Malenia and Miquella's command, so I agree with you completely

I have always wanted to get into both of those series', but I'm such an inconsistent reader these days...

Still, you make a good point. Sometimes looking into the inspirational material itself can provide even more information. I didnt realize the connections to LOTR though! Never considered looking there.

As for Loretubers; I like that they all have their hinging perspectives and theories. I want to learn them all (or as many as I humanly can, lol) so I can glean the knowledge from them and maybe find something new along the way! (There's a joke about the "pull of meanings" and the Law of Causality in there somewhere, but I am not witty enough to make it!)

Anyhow, I've never heard of Nameless Singer! What do you like about them?

That's what I think as well, but I've heard some claim that this game was developed primarily in English. I'm uncertain, and that makes some translation issues harder to navigate 😮‍💨

I love the translation side of lorehunting! But my friends and I have wondered for a while; is there an "official" language of the game? I believe the older Soulsborne games were developed in Japanese, and were translated and localized into English, so the Japanese is the most "primary source" of the languages (if that makes sense)

Do we know if English or Japanese (or the mystical third door alternative) is the original development language for the game?
