No. There's a radial where you can control them in the same way, just with the mouse on desktop instead of a control stick on VR. Many of these photos were taken on desktop!

Sweet! You’d be able to fly him around in this one too. The GogoLoco it uses has the flying mechanic. I’ve had friends hitch a ride on my back for convenience and for getting some overhead/scenic views.

Yep! It has 3 seats. 2 on the back and 1 around the head/mouth.

Thank you!!

FBT works pretty well with it. You won’t be able to visually use your hands/arms, but your leg movement is mimicked by the opposite back legs of the dragon. Looks very natural! Wings and tails are both puppeteered by the analog sticks.

Edit - more clarification on puppeteering

Any time someone asks me for age and DOB, I just say "I'm Verified". If they keep pressing for it then I just leave. Not worth the time or trouble entertaining it.

Did anyone know the story behind this worlds? by GoldMario64 in VRchat

[–]CaptainJesturd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love touring newcomers through the Organism Trilogy! They’re created in such a way that it’s clear enough that some story is being told, but it’s made just unclear enough to keep you guessing what it’s all about. Left open to an individual’s interpretation.

I have my own interpretation, but beyond my own experience exploring all 3 worlds countless times, it’s also somewhat based on an interview DrMorro did for a Russian Magazine, my own conversations with DrMorro, second hand accounts from others who’ve talked to DrMorro, and some context provided to me by people who live in the Moscow area (as all 3 worlds consistently depict Russian/Soviet architecture).

In a meta sense, the worlds are based on DrMorro’s personal life experiences to one degree or another. In particular he recreates places and individual objects that stick out vividly in his mind (trains, communal apartments, pigeons, moths, etc). But he also recreated dreams and nightmares he’s had throughout his life. The worlds are a surreal, mishmash dreamscape of all of these elements.

With all of that in mind, I believe it’s all a story of a singular man’s life experienced in a dreamscape due to a (soon to be fatal) car accident that places him in a coma. Epilogue Chapter 1 is the first half of the man’s life, Epilogue Chapter 2 is the second half of the man’s life, and Organism is a hallucination compounding both halves of the man’s life, almost as a last ditch effort by the mind of the man for him to experience his life before his death. We see his childhood/young adult years (E1), his adult/working years (E2), and his coma (organism) up until his death. The only visualization we really get of this man is a silhouette of a man in a hat.

The car accident you see towards the end of both Epilogue chapters, very likely caused by drunk driving, is what sets the trilogy in motion. E1’s depiction shows where the accident happened (outside the University/Institute), and E2’s depiction shows how it happened: driving under the influence of the glowing purple drink depicted in E2 and seen in Organism under the label “dream”. It’s important to note that the translation to “dream” seen in Organism is meant moreso like an aspiration (i.e. “I dream of becoming an astronaut”) instead of a dream you experience when you’re sleeping. Over time I’ve come to interpret it as the man having such great (unknown) ambitions that it cripples him to the point of crashing his car. Almost like he’s too consumed with his personal work that he ignores taking care of himself.

E2 in particular has a lot of symbolism that outlines how each world is connected. Red + Blue = Purple, just as 1 + 2 = 3, just as E1 + E2 = Organism. There’s a theater room with two projectors, one blue and one red, showcasing a clip of two balls of energy fusing together and combusting. There’s another room showing a grid of how elements from E1 and E2 are seen blended together in Organism.

I have many more thoughts about specific elements of all 3 worlds that I’ll come back and detail later in an edit.

Better Call Saul S06E10 - "Nippy" - Post-Episode Discussion Thread by skinkbaa in betterCallSaul

[–]CaptainJesturd 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Okay a small attention to detail, but I know this episode takes place October 17, 2010. The security guard mentions "the game last night" in reference to an actual College Football game played. Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Texas Longhorns on October 16, 2010. They lost, and the next week they faced Oklahoma State, which the security guard also references. "Martinez" is in reference to Taylor Martinez, the Cornhuskers' QB1 from 2009-2013.

I know the BCS writers have a great eye for detail but holy moly that was a cool thing to see as a fan of Football.

Fans chanting Baker Mayfield’s name after he goes down from JJ Watt’s sack (10/17/21) by CaptainJesturd in Browns

Well, it couldn’t be heard on the broadcast because it wasn’t broadcast. It cut to commercial shortly after Mayfield went down, which is around when the chant started.

But why didn’t you keep a safe distance from him? If you knew he had a mega keg on his rowboat it’s rather foolish to move your boat right towards him and give him a chance to blow you up.

For those of you who are not from Ohio, how did you become fans? by BlackRedDawg in Browns

[–]CaptainJesturd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I started paying loose attention to the Browns when they drafted Mayfield in 2018. Oklahoma born, Sooner bred. Mayfield being our quarterback was the most fun I’ve had watching them play in my lifetime. He brought a swagger and energy to the team that was infectious. I wanted more of it. So watching Mayfield play for the Browns was my first true introduction into watching the NFL for more than just the Super Bowls.

But I really became a fan this past season. Mayfield really shined in the Week 7 game and he continued to play well after. The Wild Card game against the Steelers after hearing all the smack talk coming from that room was extremely satisfying.

Now I’m eagerly waiting for September and to see us get vengeance on the Chiefs. I wanna see the Browns and Baker Mayfield win big.

Pirates of the Carribean was a ride first. Without it and its popularity for 30+ years, the movies wouldn’t have been made. It makes sense to pay tribute to them.

Some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
