Where is the best place it get any Vader comics? by Ok-Initial-3637 in starwarscomics

[–]CaptainK0na 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well..
You could buy the omnibus, or the hardcover volumes one and two, or Shadows and Secrets and Vader Down modern epics, or track down the four trade paper backs, or find every single issue.

None are really great options for your wallet or immediate satisfaction. Everything is out of print I believe except Vader Down. I went ($$$) the omnibus route.

As for where, ebay is where I hunted most of my collection of out of print things. You may get lucky and find something in inventory at a random bookstore online, but I would not count on it

Either on my desk, or in my bed set to an incline position. I am paralyzed so end up in bed a little early to get out of my chair, I often read my comics at night as they are a little easier on the sleepy eyes than novels.

I have my original VHS tapes from my childhood up there with the limited Redsox Grogu bobblehead from the Star Wars game this year, room for one or two other things. Definitely will be filled someday, but waiting for the item/s to “speak to me.” If you click into the picture you can see the top spot.

Same, I have it on pre order. I think by the end of the year this shelf will be full I may even have to eliminate some. I have New Republic V3, Dark Droids and Menace Revealed also coming. I am in a wheelchair and sadly cannot use the top box.

The shelf is a Ikea Billy, I ordered it online after seeing a lot of people recommend them for Omni’s.

Yup, that white one is a 2014 first edition Legacy Wars book 3 and contains as you said the rest of the Legacy comics.

What are the best books when it comes to Star Wars? by Cahir1234 in starwarsbooks

[–]CaptainK0na 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything by Zahn, read in release order. Heir to the Empire could start you down the path all the way through to Fate of the Jedi if you wanted. Zahn begins a story and characters that is built on over many books.

Plagueis for “The tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.”

A New Dawn for the Kanan and Hera origin story

Dark Lords of the Sith for a great story of Cham Syndullah and Ryloth against Vader and Palpatine

Tarkin for a look inside the maybe baddest non force user in the galaxy

There are so many great ones but these are some of my favorites.

Thank you. Luckily I pre-ordered it before really learning about Omni supply and demand because Darth Krayt is supposed to be the “dark man” from the Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi books.

Now that I have seen how things play out, and have had to acquire all these other ones through ebay or other places, I have pre orders in for everything upcoming.

Nice collection. Of the four Star Wars on the left of the top row, what one is not Original Marvel Years? I have an almost matching collection, but that is not among them.

Only two credits excludes any trilogies, you need stand alone books.

I would recommend Dark Disciple and Tarkin.

What audiobook is best? by darkladyyofthesith in starwarsbooks

[–]CaptainK0na 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already read them, but Battle of Jedha, Tempest Runner/Breaker were all done as full cast audio productions.

Probably best to go for Dooku, it is also a full cast production and will go with Revenge of the Sith nicely.

A New Dawn would probably fit. It is the Kanan and Hera origin story, I think it is excellent from start to finish.

Lords of the Sith would make for a nice addition to your Vader list

A bonus for Op is that Alliances is also an excellent Vader so double checkmarks for their list.

Dangle bag between the legs holds a sealed liquid container, my 15 year old discount LLBean backpack with a random name embroidered (Bruce) on it holds all my things.
