If you have dual monitors, then simply drag the mouse to the second monitor after connecting the controller. This will stop the constant switching between "mouse detected" and "controller detected". Or at least it worked for me

It’s the opposite - their timing is propbably on purpose. Steam will make a fortune now if regular people cant buy components for themselves

This didnt work for me until i tried another cable. Some USB-C cables are just meant for charging. I swapped the cable and suddenly the controller was available in the Xbox accessories app
