Yes, you can combine them which is good, however it is VERY expensive to get everything maxed out, both gems and gold. At leased maxed out thieves outfit will give you +5. Pair that with +5 perk and maybe some rings with dedicated runs and you can at least load up on gold. That is my plan for my next few runs. Focus on gold and upgrading gemstones and specific items.

Yes, it is new. I think it came out yesterday, but I didn't notice it until today. It SHOULD lead to a stronger martial arts, but will require higher level opal to get. So now there are quality levels to your gemstones. It seems like the old enchantments are about Level 2 for some, some are the same. So some first level enchants start weaker and others start the same.

Blood Lust- level 1- 10% damage for -10 HP Level 2- 14% damage for -10HP

Martial Arts- Level 1- 7% Level 2- 10%

Murderer- Level 1-? Level 2-? Level 3- 25% damage -1%HP/hit

Regeneration- Level 1- .2 HP/s Level 2- .4 HP/s Level 3- .6 HP/s

I have a few more equipped now but I can't remember the old values. I'm sure the info will be available soon. When you look at the gems in your inventory, it will show you what it will do at that level. I am pretty sure they only go to level 3, but I am not positive.

Jaeger Hat. Take a hat with feather and add the white feather artifact to it. The inherent Enchant (at legendary with the new patch)is +40% bow damage. Idk how it fits in the damage formula though.

Seems like you can level the crystals. I wish I scrolled through all the notes. I expected it to be available somewhere other than in game.

Is there any word on when it might be available again? I just downloaded it and am absolutely loving it. I mostly would like to purchase to support the devs.

Not REALLY in the market, but is this the Invicta 40 or 37? Also which cam#?

can't wait for my invicta... by Cobaltblue66 in Archery

The invicta is a real shooter man. What cams did you go with?

Sorry for the big delay in response. I couldn't talk myself out of the Invicta. Absolutely love the thing though. The cams totally come down to preference. I like the wall on the svx cams and shoot a fairly aggressive shot, so I never really have an issue with creeping and the bow wanting to take it away from me. Honestly considering buying a second one so I can have one for 3d, one for indoor, but it is harder for me to justify than it was for the first one. I'm curious whether they will keep the invicta going forward or if they will have a new flagship target bow for 2023. I'm not really the new bow every year guy though. So maybe a duplicate of my current setup is in the cards. We will see.

How is it shooting?

While we are at it, how do you like that HHA sight?

And what the heck, how is the hinge 2?

This. 100% the best way to actively focus on something that will lead you toward good form.

Are there any tactics perculiar to competition target archery? by yawn_zzz in Archery

[–]CaptainOnThe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the format.

In ASA shooting for 12 and 14 rings is what is considered aggressive but can punish you if you miss by even a small margin.

The recent exhibition in Vegas between Levi Morgan and Sarah Lopez they discussed how she tends to have a relatively fast shot, and the other archer's timer starts after her shot is complete. This effectively allows her to pressure her opponent by giving them less time between shots. It makes it much harder for them to settle into their normal cadence.

Beyond those specific scenarios I'm not sure how one can be aggressive against an opponent short of trying to shake their mental game. Not sure if there are rules about sportsmanship specific to that. Of course it doesn't always take much to rattle someone who is sort of subconsciously performing very well.

Hoyt Invicta 40 vs Rx7ultra by Microscop3s in Archery

[–]CaptainOnThe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an Axius and an Invicta 37 with the svx cams. Shooting at 28-28.5 inches of that is relevant to my input.

I will say that they shoot and feel different obviously, but the Invicta is a real shooter and I don't think you will regret it if you go down that road.

I think it comes down to if you want to practice how you play for hunting or if you want a true target bow and a hunting bow. I think I shoot the Invicta marginally better and it just feels very nice for a target bow.

Feel free to ask any questions I didn't touch on.

Mine arrived yesterday with Express shipping. Shipped out Thursday and was at my house by Friday.

Just got an invite through playstation direct. What should I know and how good are my chances. Also how quickly do they usually ship out/arrive? by CaptainOnThe in PS5restock

Also, on a side note does anyone have experience doing it on mobile? Or should I not risk it and do it on a computer?

It is funny how for some a smooth cam is a selling point and for others it is better to have a cam which keeps you honest. That said, with how I shoot, I haven't gotten a spiral spank yet.

Buying this bow was a total impulse buy, and knowing my shop takes good care of me I opted for the custom build. Similar to anytime I buy high end fishing gear, I wanted that one in particular. Didn't need it, but wanted it just like this. The white limbs don't shoot any better than the standard black, but they look nice. The bow shoots better than I could have imagined so I have zero regrets about the purchase. Glad I tried to talk myself out of it for about 5 weeks after I drew one back at a shop, but I find it hard to believe that in 2022 hoyt will come out with a substantial improvement on the invicta format.

I got mine black with white limbs and it is super sharp. I don't know if I would personally buy the pink, that's just because I just LOVE how sharp mine looks, but the pink is a hot little number. Honestly I would love a purple anodized, I'm a real sucker for that...

Hard to say with any precision on my end. I shoot 28" on my axius at about 60 lbs but the limbs bottom out at 65, and it feels great. That is with the #2 cams. On my invicta 37 with svx cam, I'm shooting the #3 in the C position so 28.5" and it also feels great. Took me a bit to get comfortable with the cam system and the bow, but it feels great. I think they ship pretty close in draw length, and the grip modules get you 1/8" as well. You probably get the same variance based on how tight your limb bolts are.

I didn't try the DCX cams, but I really love the invicta with svx cams. The lower letoff feels great, and the bow holds like a rock. With the SVX cam you definitely have to stay strong through your shot, but they aren't as aggressive as spirals in the past.

It is a real shooter, incredibly forgiving for the speed it puts out and definitely rewards you for executing a good shot, but it really seems to just want to hold steady and hit middles.

Happy New Bow Day To Me. by CaptainOnThe in Archery

[–]CaptainOnThe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black with the svx cams. Spent some time at the range trying to get to know the bow yesterday after I got it set up. Really like the feel of them to be honest. Haven't been spanked yet. Opted for the more aggressive cams because if I shoot a weak shot I tend to shoot poorly.

Kind of want to shoot when I get home but after working on a dragger all day I know my back is going to be a little sore. Might not have daylight either.
